Im doing CG right?

Ive read alot of threads and there have been mentions of when starting CG that for a while your hair goes quite blah for a bit and then get better.

i haven't had this stage or if I have it wasn't bad enough for me to notice it, this made me question whether im am doing this properly. Here is what I do

Everyday

I get in the shower rinse my hair add conditioner to the length and ends leave for 5 mins run my fingers through my hair to untangle it then rinse out the conditioner. I don't tend to squeeze out much of the excess water

I then add a tiny spot of watered down conditioner and run through my hair as a leave in.

I then tip my head upside down and scrunch in boots curl creme then when back up right add a little curl creme to the top using the same method.

I then do exactly the same with the gel

I plop for 20 mins and then leave my hair to air dry.

Twice a week

I co wash making sure to clean my scalp.

Once a week

I wash my hair with a Aloe shampoo [which is CG as far as I know recommended on this site]

I use a DT Conditioning treatment.

So am I doing this right???

Currently on the look out for a new DT and Styling Cream, though Curl Junkie is looking quite good.
Your routine certainly looks good. Are the conditioners & gels you're using silicone-free?

With the exception of the shampoo, that's pretty much my routine. Although I only wet my hair every 3rd or 4th day.

The shape your hair is in when you start has a lot to do with the transition. I went through a period of blah because I'd never really used conditioner before and had a hard time figuring out how much to use. If you hair was in decent shape to start with, you may not have the issues other have had.

Sounds good to me! I'm new to CG myself.

I've been cowashing every day and have yet to shampoo though. I might try a CG poo if I feel like it down the road. Many girls here don't cowash every time they wet their hair. I personally felt really gross all day after doing just a water wash. I'll try it again soon.

I too haven't had the bad stage yet and am waiting to see if it happens. If it doesn't, great!

GL to you.
