Please Help!

Ok, I just started a modified version of CG. My products are listed below...I'm wondering if I should try a different gel or shampoo or something else added to help with my frizz? On a plus note I can definitely see a change going on with my hair... <happy dance>
I would prefer something not too expensive, but if you know of a really good product that I may have to pay a little more for I'm game in trying it out...
So for shampoo I :
Desert Essence Red Raspberry Shampoo
Ingredients: Aqueous Infusion of Certified Organic Extract of Rubus Idaeus (raspberry) Leaf Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Coco Glucoside, Glycol Stearate, Polyquaternium-7, Panthenol, Certified Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Potassium Gluconate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Proprietary Blend of Natural Essential Oils, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride.

Co Wash: Suave Vanilla Floral Conditioner

Gel: Giovanni L.A. Natural Styling Gel
Ingredients:

Aqua (Purified Water) with Rosemary Oil
Nettle Oil
Thyme Oil
Birch Leaf Oil
Chamomile Oil
Clary (Salvia Sclarea)
Lavendar
Coltsfoot Leaf
Yarrow Oil
Mallow
Horsetail Oil
PVP/VA Copolymer
Soybean Protein
Hydroxyethylcellulose
Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Citric Acid (Corn)
Phenoxyethanol
Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate
Grapefruit Seed (Citrus Derived)
Fragrance With Essential Oils

Leave in Moisturizer: Ebene Shea butter hair styling lotion
Ingredients: Water, shea butter, soybean oil, olive oil, vegetable emulsifying wax, avocado oil, babbasu oil, vitamin E oil, lavender essential oil, essential oils of ylang-ylang, lemon, and orange, potassium sorbate, and vitamin C.

The problem I have is frizz and it's kind of crunchy...I'm not real fond of that so the question is should I change products because of bad ingredient mixture or should I give it more time or should I add something to my mix?

Thanks in advance!

You need to give it more time. I have not used those products but the CG process takes time--meaning your hair needs time to heal. It does look like you are making progress. Also, I would suggest a trim as well just to cut off any dead ends. At this point the conditioner is the most important thing you can do for your hair. I use Deva Curl conditioner but there are plenty to choose from (Suave Coconut works well too). Eventually you will become somewhat savy on styling products--what your hair likes and what it doesn't like. Don't get too hung up on this yet until your hair becomes healthier. Hope this helps.
Cool thanks. That's helpful. I was thinking that as well, that it may be a time issue. I had a trim about 3 weeks ago on the ends...but that's a good suggestion.

I was thinking of trying the Suave coconut version as well. Maybe that will be different than the vanilla?
Have you ever tried any of the gels or other products besides the conditioner from DevaCurl? I have been curious about them, but wasn't sure if they are worth the almost $20...I hate to spend it if I don't have to. I'm working on a tight budget.

Thank you.

I have used most of the product line but my two favorites are the conditioner and the Set It Free spray. Some people find it too heavy but it really did transform my hair in the beginning and give me a foundation to work with instead of jumping from product to product. Just continue with the CG routine, use this website to gather more info., and it will get easier.
Thanks. That's helpful. I'll keep researching...
