Good hair morning

Hooray! I finally got my hair to look nice for about 3 hours! It actually looked like mysteryflavored's hair for a little while -- I had to pinch myself. It even stayed that way through a sweaty yoga class, but then I made the fatal mistake of being outside in the humidity for an hour or so, and now it's back to being a frizzy squirrel's nest.

But it was a fabulous few hours! At least I have hope that I might someday achieve that again!

YAY!! Good hair is wonderful even if it is only for a few hours!! Here's hoping it lasts longer next time. And post pics!

I very much want to post pics, but let me just say....

It took me a year to use my iPod.

I am even more challenged when it comes to electronics than I am with my hair, which is pretty bad!

Re: what I used, I think the biggest thing was that I did a DT with coconut oil and honey last night. I low-pooed and ACV'd afterwards, and then this morning it still felt really oily so I poo'd again (!) and conditioned. I know it sounds like overkill, but I was going out so I didn't want to look like a greaser. Then I used Kenra curl creme (has a cone, but I'm slowly easing into the strict CG thing) and ABBA styling lotion/gel on top. This was my first time using the ABBA and it didn't feel as drying as the other gels I've tried, but then again I was a frizzball as soon as I was out in the humidity, so I'll have to withhold judgment. I did my normal styling thing - scrunched with a flour sack towel, diffused a little, air dried a lot, scrunched out the crunch.

What I liked about it was that it looked very moisturized, but not wet or oily, and the curls had a great pattern. My friend said it looked like I had gone to a salon and spent $80. That was, of course, before the humidity got to it. Sigh. At least I saw that I could maybe, someday, hopefully, look like one of you girls if I play all my cards right and make the appropriate offerings to the hair gods.
