What did Kitara learn today?

Kitara's hair does NOT like the fine tooth comb method. I even did an ACV rinse before this picture was taken. Blech. Flat, lifeless, and got really frizzy. I didn't even take a picture of the sides and back because I was just sick of it.

Kitara's hair DOES like shampoo.

I stopped using poo at all for the last few weeks and my hair has increasingly lost curl and become unmanageable. Today, after the first picture was taken and after I finally put it into a pony tail because the frizz was driving me nuts I decided to experiment and I went and washed my hair. I used CK and Biotera like I always do and voila.

So that's it. I'm officially "mod" CG.

Lookin' good, good lookin'!
Great to hear that this happens to others as well... I start loosing curl at about day 3...drives me nuts. So, I just wash away w/ a low poo...
Currently, using JC HCC, Too Shea, CK and CCSS, RR or LOOB or MOP-C.
CK is the one!!

as of 6/17/10 - I have to add Joico!

-KCCC
-Biotera Gel
-HETT mousse
I have bangs now, and I love 'em!
Looks great!

Replace that first pic with really poufy curls and that's pretty much what my hair does with no shampoo, and the difference when I do shampoo.

For me it takes 2-3 weeks, depending on how much product I've been using and how much it builds up on me.

Now, not to complicate your discoveries, but if your hair was already uncooperative because of the lack of shampooing, perhaps that's what made the combing ineffective? You have to eliminate variables to be sure. I know, I know, it gets very tedious and complex.
Gorgeous.

[ETA: Your hair even looks pretty when it's "lifeless". Just saying.]
Fabulous! Looks really good.

Yea, I can't go a few days without shampoo...right now 2 at the most and that's even pushing it...my hair gets too tangled and combing the tangles out is a pain.

Gosh, then maybe you really *are* a wavy (but a borderline one).

I know I've said this a million times, but I just love your hair!

Yay! So gorgeous! I am so happy you figured out what your hair needed - a shampoo every now and then. What a difference.

We might have to be in a fight again because I'm so totally jealous of your hair. Again. My hair is in yet another updo. And it's not pretty at all. And I'm too lazy it pull it out and start again. Thank goodness my work doesn't care! I might have to print out pictures and tape them around my mirror as inspiration.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
