which do you prefer?
alright, i've been hearing good things about each of these. i just wanna do a poll to see which people prefer more so that i can decide which one i wanna use. this would really help me out on my hair "journey". thanks.

Well, this isn't based on much experience with either brand, but I prefer Aussie. One of their gels that I think was discontinued (what was the name??) was a holy grail for me for years. Their products smell strong (except the Foam and Leave-In doesn't) but the smell isn't bad.
V05 on the other hand, the smells of the Moisture Milks conditioners makes me want to vomit. I don't find v05 conditioners to be moisturizing enough for anything other than Cowash. I haven't tried their styling products, other than their original hairdressing. Years ago I used to use that oily stuff when I'd straighten my hair and I liked it, but I bet it's got petroleum in it so I wouldn't use it now.

I don't have nearly enough experience with either, but I'd just like to throw out that I agree with Urban - the Moisture Milks scents are quite repulsive.

Both are drugstore products, but Aussie is just a better quality of products, if you look at the ingredients lists on each. I'm neutral on V05--didn't feel it hurt, but didn't feel it particularly helped. Aussie is a decent alternative for folks who don't want to spend a lot of dough.

I didn't vote because I wasn't sure if you were talking about styling products or shampoos/conditioners.
Since being on CG I have only used the VO5 conditioners (not styling products). I have never tried the Moisture Milks line because of the protein, but I like the Hydrating, Kiwi and Lime, Moisturizing and Raspberry. I like VO5 better than most of the Suaves.
As far as the Aussie, I don't use the shampoos or conditioners, but I like the foam and leave in. As far as gels, the Dual Personality and the Tizz No Frizz combination are pretty good. The Tizz has a strong grapey smell, but it fades. I actually don't mind it myself.

I like Aussie better. It just works better for my hair and I really love the smell of Aussie! I must admit, though, that I haven't even tried V05 in years. When I tried it year ago, I didn't like it, so I never tried it again.

I've never had any luck with V05. I use Aussie's moisture shampoo and Knot forgotten for detangling which works really well for me.

i like the vo5 moisture milks for co-washing--i rinse them out and then use elucence and honey for real conditioning. but for $1 a bottle they do a great job for me...
