"Curls" Products
Those of you that have been on the boards for a while probably remember how popular the Curls brand was on here a couple of years ago. Curl Ecstasy Hair Tea conditioner, Goddess Glaze styler, and Milkshake leave in conditioner were some of the winners. The kids version of the milkshake, Curly Q is one of my all time favorite cremes/leave ins for winter still. I love it!
There was a bit of a controversy back in the day because they were such popular products and then sadly most of them were re-formulated several times over, seemingly without any notice to their customers (most of the changes added things that were non-CG friendly). They lost a bunch of nc.com people, and Curlmart even stopped offering their products. Well, I was browsing Curlmart today and I noticed offer them again! I scanned all the above mentioned products and they all look to be CG friendly now ( milkshake always was). Did they go back to the old beloved formulas? Note-Curlmart has a limited supply of what "Curls" actually sells on their own web-site.
Have any of you used these products since they have been offered on Curlmart?

Didn't get them from the new CurlMart supplies, so I didn't respond. Since no one has, I'll give you my experience. I think the Souffle wasn't CG when I looked in the Spring--but the Whipped Cream and Milkshake were. I've had the Whipped Cream for a while and used it before it got too "heavy" for the summer. I recently got the Milkshake in a swap, so used the two the other day. I've found with the heavier, moisturizing products, I don't really need gel in the summer. I had a good, non frizzy hair day--but I think they are a little too "heavy" for right now. I'll certainly use them again when the weather changes. My hair really likes the heavier products--CJ, BB, MHC, Curls by Sisters Smith. The only one that it didn't like was JC rich.

Hi is curl souffle CG friendly now?.I'm planning on buying curls products from curls site this week, but first I have to figure out what to buy b\c my shopping list is to big.I only plan on buying their styling products from women and kids line.I prefer to use my Aubrey organics conditioners and shampoos. Is the kids milkshake thicker and better then the women's milkshake?

Looks CG. I've never used the Souffle, but I have used the Milkshake and the Whipped Cream. I use natural products and, even though they are pretty natural, I wouldn't buy any of them at this point. There are too many other products I like MUCH better.

I ordered a sample of the Souffle from Sistasplace.com a few weeks ago and it's not CG- it contains dimethicone. I don't know if that's the most current formula or what, dimethicone is not listed in the list of ingredients on CurlMart.
I also ordered samples of the Quenched Moisturizer and the Milkshake, both of which my hair is absolutely loving so far! They're both CG, according to both my samples and CurlMart.
ETA: I just looked on Curl's website, and according to their ingredient list, Souffle IS CG. Maybe the one I got is just an old formula.

If you go to the www.curls.biz site you can see the ingredients. I think she reformulated the cones out -- again with no notice to her users. I'm not a fan of that approach.

I also saw that she took out the sulfates from the shampoo.

I recently looked at the curls website, and saw that the Extasy Asian Hair Tea Conditioner ingredients were CG, ordered a HUGE tub of it, and saw that the ingredients were not the same as what was listed on the site, and had silicone in it... so just be a bit wary - you may not want to order a HUGE amount at once...

Yeah that's not the first time the site says one thing but when you order you get different ingredients.
Such a shame because I loved the Hair tea but I'm not willing to risk it.
