psh...

Del, my PJ's uncontrollable. I know good and well I'll probably end up with one of these, just to see how it works :P

Though I DO think I'll be a good girl and wait as long as humanly possible before journeying to Sally's to find one. Everytime I go into Sally's i come out with 3 extra things >.<

DO IT, DO IT, DO IT,

Ok, seriously MimsTX your hair is beautiful so if you can curb the PJ in you and the suspense then I applaud you for not jumping on the bandwagon. I honestly thought there was NO WAY a stupid brush could make a difference but it sure did for me!!! If we didn't have this drastic change in weather out here I wouldn't have given this a shot but my hair was really getting "Sybil" on me!!!

Soooooooooo it's up to you Mims

I forgot: instead of raking in my products I used the brush to distribute the stuff. Upside down, then sideways brushing away from the scalp not straight down as rudee suggested. After all product application I scrunched like Mad and Plopped.
I do pretty much the same-brush to distribute everything upside down...then i just scrunch (not "like Mad", though ) and plop in my curlease 'til I'm ready to diffuse...it's a cheap investment, when you think about it, and if you don't like it (blasphemy!), you probably know a straighty brush user that will...

K, seriously, Del? You need to be stopped!!! You're out of control!

Every new pic in fotki your hair looks that much more amazing!!!

And CGFla - Broomhilda??? - ROFLMAO. Not even on your worst day.

So all you "users" - does it promote clumping? The last thing I need is more clumping. I tried the combing that zigazaga did but ended up with 4 curls.

yeah, that's the only thing that's holding me back... I definitely don't need more clumping than I already have.

for me its more about the product distribution!
i get better coverage and use LESS product because it is all spead evenly! (less product=less $ ! more coverage=less wonky spots!)

i do also get better root curl as well.

It does promote clumping... But i find if I over srunch they fall out... Maybe you could Brush, then rake to break up the hair, then scrunch...?

crap.

Maybe I'll stick to my fine toothed comb/wide toothed comb combo...

If my curls START to form where they're clumped together, there's no separating them. lol, it's like they're physically bonded. Sucks.

So does it have to be a Denman? I'd hate to throw down that much money then have it collect dust in the drawer. I'm very interested in the root curl you speak of misfitcurls.

When I bought a fine toothed comb, it cost me $1 for 2 as I recall so it was a "who cares" purchase.

I get more clumping with the Denman, too, but I think that's because of the great product distribution. Whatsercurl, the great thing about the Denman is that it has seamless, wide-spread, gentle plastic bristles- I'm sure if you could find another brush similar in design it would work. I also use/love the Denman scalp/shampoo brush-I forget what they call it-but I use them interchangeably...same results, but the 'poo brush covers more scalp at once (and you can get a similar one to that in any drugstore, probably...)

Anyone know anywhere besides Sally's that has them? I checked 2 Sally's yesterday and they didn't . . . .

25-30 years ago I used a Goody's brush that was just like this - came apart for cleaning, etc. But I was using it on dry hair back in the days when I straightened it with lye relaxer and then rolled on electric curlers to put controlled curl back in - yikes! - long before I ever let it curl naturally, and especially long before CG was ever heard of.

Yep-I could have written this. I have started using 1/2 of the KCCC I was using with better results.

Question though-are you all rinsing off your brush to keep it from getting gunked up?

You had me at 1/2 the drying time.

I am so WEAK, I had to stop at Sally's after work to pick up a brush. Potential buyers be aware that this brush is on SALE for $6.99, reg $8.99. This is even cheaper than the discount you get with your Sally card.

Now I am SO excited to take a shower and try it! I am such a loser, I could only make this kind of statement here and get away with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, ya gotta rinse it. And I wash it with shampoo every week or so. Believe it or not, it makes a difference.

Theres one with 7 rows of bristles and one with 9. I have the 7 and it works great, but I bet 9 is even better (more distribution, closer teeth).

You're so right and I'm right with you!!Do keep us posted on your results!

I had to re-do my hair today but from what I see so far it's even curlier than yesterday. I tweaked things a little and I think I'm liking today's results better but I won't know for sure until it's all dry!

out of control? lil 'ol me???? Thank you whatsercurl I'll take your complement and file it away when I'm ticked off at my hair!!

I'm not sure about the clumping yet for me, but I think it made me wavier???? It has to be the product distribution?? Even the BRHG doesn't seem to be like GLUE which is what I used today after skipping curl creme. I'm not sure I'm liking curl creme yet on my 2nd day......or maybe I just don't have the best curl creme money can buy!!!!
