I'm a PJ...but it's like being a closet smoker or something. Hiding purchases. Wanting to go to the CVS by myself so I can spend an hour looking at bottles. VO5 to Jessicurl. I just spent $150 at Mt Rose Herbs buying every kind of oil, butter, and clay imaginable. My SO wonders why I need about 28 different bottles in the shower. When I was visiting my parents I missed my hair products...

Could pj-ism be inherited, as in it is part of our genentic makeup? I have been a pj since I was a little girl, although no one in my family is. I remember begging my dad to go to the drugstore because a new flavor of Lipsmackers was out, or I needed a different smell of lotion. This was when I was around 5 yrs. old people. I started my "want lists" in notebooks when I learned how to write. In high school when students were asked what we would do if we won the lottery for an essay assignment, I wrote about all the human service organizations I would help, and that I would spend the rest on products-no one else would probably understand it but you guys though. That is why I love coming on here. I feel bad for the people that have become pj's because of us though, SUCKERS!!!

I just LOVE products, and I don't discriminate to just hair, it is ALL encompassing obsession. Hair, skincare, makeup, and perfumes are my biggest temptations. It does feel a little weird admitting how happy and what a rush it gives me when I find a new discovery.

I felt compelled to bring this thread back to life after KM brought it to my attention!

I am a pj, and I have fun with it.

Mine is still valid. Sadly I'm not buying things that don't work I'm buying tons of stuff that does work. Only things I need to get rid of are some LOOB, Biotera Curl cream and some Garnier Fructis Wax. Luckily those were cheap products so I won't feel so bad if I just trash them at some point.

I was at T.J. Maxx yesterday, and they had 1-liter bottles (with a pump!) of Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat, Smooth as Silk, and 50:50 for $12.99 each. I bought the TTTT and Smooth as Silk, but held back on the 50:50. Such restraint! I'm stuck with 2 liters worth of Giovanni conditioners now, so I hope I like them!

DH also offered to go back and buy the remaining bottles if I liked them. I never thought he would become an enabler, but I think he just doesn't want to see me end up buying the 8.5-oz bottles for $10.49 at Meijer!

I'm on a first name basis with the mailman, UPS man, people at the post office, as well as no fewer than 5 vendors. It's insane really.

I say I'm not going to try a product, and then BAM! You ladies make me run out, or run to my wallet to get the plastic, and then I'll buy one item. Then I'll get it, and obsess over the rest of the products and will purchase the complete line.

And then I can't even use it yet cause I'm doing protective styles. I have about 4 lines...no 5 lines of products here that I need to try. NO....6!

Just because it's cheap does not mean we aren't still feeding the PJ demon, ladies...

...will NOT go to Sally's this week, will NOT go to Sally's this week...

And thank heavens there is no TJ Maxx where I live I would not be able to resist Giovanni Liters for $12...

I was going to confess my sins to one online "friends" who is worse then I am, but since this thread was resurected--I'll do it here. At least, I have an excuse--I buy a lot of product to try and sell samples of on the swap board. Otherwise, you all know that I wouldn't do any of this.

This week my Donna Marie and KBB products arrived, but I was only restocking. I got my Hoitytoity gel(s.) This week I could order the Komaza Coconut Curl Pudding--no castor oil anymore. And I won't tell you how many of the new Curl Junkie products I plan to try end of the week. Since I was ordering, I did have to get a few old favorites that are still being made.

Don't want to offend anyone--but do I have to kneel and ask forgiveness??

Spoken like the truest of true PJs...

I last purchased some things during Thanksgiving sales (yeah, I know, it was only 2 mos. ago...), and have been good ever since...even pulled out my old BRHG-trying to use up some things...however....reaallly want to try the strong Hoity Toity gel, Ohm SHP & Komaza Coconut Curl Pudding...not until my butter/pudding stock diminishes, though...

BUT it's so much EASIER to GIVE in!!! ESPECIALLY when it works so darn GREAT!

No kneeling allowed KathyM, we're not here to ask forgiveness. We're just confessing and that is all......We all understand each other!! *LOL*

I know you will report back to all of us when you have an opportunity to try them. Living where you do, you have access to a lot of great products locally (getting to stop in a KBB she says wistfully.) So of course you have your assignment to buy and keep us updated. Isn't it nice that your fellow pjs give you these assignments?? You're doing it to help us and not feed you hair "habit!"
