I was getting both - frizzy, undefined and crispy hair. It was gross.

I am also experimenting with just blow drying the top underside of my hair for volume after it's mostly air dried. It so much smoother and softer with nice curls if I just let it air dry but it's so flat I hate it.

By the way, the JC deep treatment as a leave in is still working in keeping my hair soft with the RR...
Good to know I might have to see about trying the deep treatment.

I miss Jessicurl to be honest.

This is exactly me too! Couldn't have described it any better! Except I don't use Jessicurl, what other products have mag sulf? The only thing I've changed recently is Shampoo Bar (which I've blamed the frizz on, but I haven't used frizz is still here) and KBB nectar, milk & cream??? It's driving me crazy because my hair is normally not frizzy at the canopy. Great curl definition, but I hate the frizz. I'd rather be flat and wavy. My gels haven't changed HEBE mostly and I've added CK. ??? Surely it's not KBB, everyone is so in love!

*sigh*

So I had convinced myself that while I LOVED the curls the Jessicurl products were giving me, the frizz was just a bit too much for me to handle... and then I used them one last time, prior to going out with a friend. My hair looked pretty good, just halo frizz like no other, but I had accepted it and it was whatever.

lol, and then my friend took a picture and it looked SO much better than it did when I was looking at it in the mirror. Maybe it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be?

BAH I HATE BEING A PJ! lol

That is exactly what happened to my hair when using the Jessicurl products. It was a bummer...

hey mims. have you tried anything from KBB yet? I think I'm narrowing down my frizz to something in that line (I'm probably the one and only!). I've been blaming it on the Shampoo Bar, but today I tried the bar alone w/out anything KBB. Not near as much frizz (hardly any actually) as before. I'm still so new these ingrediants are so hard for me to narrow down the culprit!!! I also had a frizzy day, then saw a picture taken, no frizz just curls. "And" got compliments on my hair that day?!? But personally I can't stand the halo of frizz!

PS I've been meaning to thank you for the rec on the Root Lifter Spray--Like it! Like it so much, told a friend to buy it too.

Actually, I haven't tried anything at all from that line...

Maybe there's something in there that's also in the jessicurl? It doesn't seem like the KBB would have magsulfate in it, since it's touted to be really natural and non-drying but I can't be sure since i've never seen any of the products or looked into them.

I wish we could just look like the pictures! lol stupid halo frizz...

And yay for the root lifter! I'm glad you like it

Well scratch everything I previously wrote!!! As the day went on, my cobwebs returned-Darn! I think I'm going to let the Shampoo Bar rest for alittle while. Back to the experiment. This is EXHAUSTING! I'm so jealous of the ones who have written they now know what works and they are able to stay away from everything else!

Does anyone know what products could be stripping my color??? I've searched threads, but didn't find anything?

Are you using honey at all? Rumor is that'll do it.

Also mag sulfate will do it, too, since it roughs up the cuticle and allows the color to leach out.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Yup, sure am using honey. Thought it was the greatest! Then I've started noticing my lovely gray hairs coming thru rather quickly! I thought not using Poo w/sulfates my color would last longer-grrr. I don't know about the mag sulfate. I'll have to check, but I don't think so???

Honey used as a rinse or styling product makes my hair hard and frizzy. I'll put a little in a treatment, but it has to be "washed" out totally.

Hmmm, how often do you use honey? I've been using it quite often in my 2 months of trying CG. I'm determined to find the culprit for my frizz!!

I really don't use it anymore. If I do a clay mask--which is every few weeks. Since starting with the KBB products the first week in August, my hair is so moisturized I don't feel the need to DT. Since doing the shampoo bars, I have a lot of volume--so haven't done cassia in over two months.
