What does "Triangle" hair look like? Anyone have pics?

Ive read on here about many curlies with layers come out looking like they have triangle hair. Im wondering what that looks like.

Im a 2b/c and NEED a good curly cut, but having fine, thin hair, Im worried layer will make my hair look "see thru" and thinner.

Would love to see what triangle hair looks like and what a good layered curly look is.

Any pics???

To me this looks like triangle hair, flat on top and poofy at the bottom, not quite as dramatic as the pic Del posted!

As per: the example Lorraine uses in CG handbook. Although mine has never been THAT extreme (well lately without Honey it was pretty close), I think we've all been there, where the top is not high enough and the hair wants to expand sideways!! NOT a PRETTY SITE!

This was after I brushed my hair (I quit brushing a few months ago) maybe 6 or 7 years ago. It literally was as wide as my shoulders.

No cones since 08/25/09. Occasional low poo.
Fine, normal to low porosity (still not sure which), ii, 3a/3b curls
Playing with products: HEBE Mousse, BRHG, AOMM, HESMU. Nothing blows my mind just yet.

I think maybe I don't mind triangle hair. I mean not rosana-rosana-danna, but spiralling outward instead of down? What's the big deal? If the curls stack on top of each other, won't they have horizontal volume? This seems good, not bad.
2c / C / iii (FIA)
Med-Coarse, LowPorosity, NormalElast (LCLF)

Shoulder-Length now.

Wash: DevaCare Low Poo
Detangle & Rinseout: Walgreens or Sally's Conditioning Balm (always)
Leave-in: DevaCare OneC (budget choice is GFTN)
Style: ReCoil & DevaCare Arc Angel (budget choices are HESMU or Got2BSpikedUp)

in a triangle, the hair does not stack up horizontally, it is shaped like a triangle. for me it used to happen before i had cg cuts, the times i would try to have a blunt cut, no layers.
if you have to ask what it is, you are lucky as you have never experienced it!!

BrewCrewGrl your hair is not at all triangular-it is beautiful! We all have this issue at one time or another especially when our hair starts growing out!

To me, triangle hair results from the absence of layers. I have a pic on one of my albums, I will try to locate it.

Ok, go to my "9 months" album to the pic the says "the new cut". Its a modified triangle

All of these look triangular to me... I still don't quite get it, is it just a trendy sort of thing, like one year good one year bad?

I know there are haircut things that bother me eternally, thin ends where you can see through them for one thing, but should everyone layer so everything lays down smoothly in some sort of oval? Nah. Different is good.

the middle one is the only triangle head. Its the kind of look in a dramatic fashion catalog or runway but you wouldnt do it in public. The other ones are beautiful and the last one is volume which i love.
CG..yep that's me!

I have super fine , thin hair and can easily get the triangle Roseanne Roseannadanna look if I don't layer. Layers can actually give you a "lift" and make your hair fuller; so does texturizing.
