Diffusing is using your blow dryer w/ a bowl like attachment to it.. you collect your hair up into the bowl and the warm air circulates thru it. Virus using the direct nozzle on the dryer on your hair which causes frizz.

Thanks so much!
This really helped, I've been wondering what certain abbreviations were and the place in the FAQ section of the site only has so many.

Thanks so much for this thread! It drives me crazy when I don't know what an acronym or abbreviation means.
And I'm glad to know that LOOB isn't what I thought it was.

Stylers generally help your hair get where it needs to be. In example curl boosting gels, cremes, etc.
Finishers are simply products that help your hair stay there for the long run. Those would be your sprays, spritzes, etc.

Going off topic. It replaced the phrase "hijack the thread" after 9/11.

I always wondered what guano meant! I don't understand why 'guano' means going off topic though...

Guano is bat poo. It means that you put poo in a thread.

Lol, as you adjust to CG, you get used to all the abreviations. I remember when I just started CG and all the abbreviations in ppls siggies made me favourite this thread just to get to it and translate everything, lmao =P now it's nothing to me, even I've started using them and I'm the hugest dumhead I know lol
