Lol all these make me laugh - I was kinda sad that I didn't have a hair nickname, but last night I was laughing about something and my boyfriend said "Laugh it up, fuzzball." (from Star Wars). My hair was pretty fuzzy, though!

I don't have a real nickname, but I was called 'lion' a few times by a friend.

Another Poodle, Rosanne Rosannadanna, Medusa here.
I love mythology so I take Medusa as a compliment. People still call me that sometimes because my curls just kind of move around on their own like they are alive.

My mother has said this to me so many time in my life that it feels like my nickname - WILL YOU PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH THAT HAIR!?! She still says it and it makes me laugh.

Roseanne Rosannadanna!!! I had forgotten about that one!!!

Here's my current favorite way to explain to people what my hair *really* looks like (without all the goop and conditioner and oil). I ask them to imagine that Kramer (from Seinfeld) and Roseanne Rosannadanna got married and had a child, and then that child got her finger stuck in an electric socket.

They of course don't believe me, think I'm joking, and then I pull out the picture. Yowza!

I love that I can joke about it now. If only I could zoom back in time and tell that poor soul I was back then that it would all turn out okay....

Oh gosh! My "little" sister used to call me Fuzzy Wuzzy, and taunt me with
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear.
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't very fuzzy,
wuzzy?
It hurt all the more because my mother had me scalped on a regular basis (1" pixie cuts), whereas my sister was allowed to grow her hair.

When I graduated from nursing school, my family started calling me "Nurse Beth Fuzzy Wuzzy."

When I was little, my mother would call me "the Wild Woman of Borneo" whenever she particularly hated how my hair looked.

I got Brillo Pad too, but I have to admit that it was pretty accurate around about 9th grade. I didn't know what to do with it, so I had it cut really short and then brushed it with a bristle brush...bad, bad, bad.
Brillo Pad, that was me too. I still don't think it's funny. I always wore my hair curly because I didn't have any choice but really, Brillo Pad Head

When I was in high school I always kept my hair in a high, wild ponytail when I wore it curly. My best friend would always call me Sideshow Bob! It was funny to me because it was fairly accurate. Especially since I had these roaring red highlights at the time. My whole head glowed when I was in the sun.

When I was a kid, my best friend's dad called me Squirrel because he said my head looked like a squirrel tail. Yeah, it's funny now.

Current experiment is Co-Wash and Condition: V05 kiwi lime clarifying conditioner
Then KBB super silky, KCCC, then L'Oreal Melting Gel with a bit of GF Super Stiff mixed in.
Pre-toweling, post-toweling, pre-plop and post-plop. The jury is not out on the plopping thing. I think my hair is too fine.
fine / non-porous / thin aka 3"abba" / oh so Fine / just barely ii

My uncle used to call me "Fosforo" which translates to "Match" in Spanish because he said the top of my head looked like a lighted match! I had very red curly hair, not so red anymore and not as curly as back then! "Horse" hair is another one I've gotten over the yrs. cuz of the coarse texture luckily it's not like that anymore!

i didn't get much teasing because my curls didn't emerge until i was 13 or so, and even still, they're sort of loose. but i did get a "medusa" or two.

my dad actually wrote "Fuzzy" on his childhood baseball glove rather than his real name... and a lot of people he's known since high school still call him Hair Bear.

These days, I straighten my hair once a year. On Halloween! And I tell my students that my costume is that I came to school dressed as 'a person with straight hair'. Too fun!
Brilliant!! I love it.

Mushroom Queen sounds so cool! Kind of reminds me of Princess Peach.

I was wondering when someone would tie together Star Wars wookies and curly hair.

Me too. This is the only thing I am called in reference to my hair. I made the stupid mistake of wearing my concert attire (all black, full skirt, square-toed shoes) in front of my best friend. He saw me and said (after a short exchange) "you look like a witch!". I asked him about why he thought I looked like a witch (he's seen other girls in all black before), and he mentioned my hair and how it sticks up sometimes. It's been used a bit sense then, and I think it suits me well. I've actually grown fond of it.

I think many people have thought "Medusa" before, though have been to kind to say it. (trust me, my hair combined with my stare = Medusa in nearly every sense). But I actually feel complimented when someone gives me some curly-related nickname. =]

Default Monchichi, brillohead, frohead

Monchichi was a doll back in the 80s that was sort of a monkey that sucked it's thumb. Brillohead a descendant of brillopad, of course. Frohead, obvious. I had my hair really short before there were decent products. Not a good move.

My best friend calls me "Wild Woman of the West" because my hair is, as she called it “untamed”. She liked it so much she started wearing her hair naturally curly too. She meant in as a compliment and that's how I take it

I had a big crush on this guy I worked with in college...he used to tease me A LOT, and one day we were talking about our dogs, and he referred to my dog as a Bichon.

Me: She is not a Bichon! She is a WESTIE! They're both little white dogs, but Bichons have big, curly hair...

Him: Like you?

So...he started calling me Bichon Frise

I get called "The Poof" not just Poof but "The Poof" my friends have called me that since high school. I think it is funny that they all still say "The". I have blonde 3b/c hair that I wear crazy, oh yeah and they use to call me the christmas tree because in class they would throw stuff in my hair and it would get stuck in there and look like ornaments, a penny once fell out of my hair in the shower.

My boss calls me Wobbly. It upsets some of the girls I work with cause they don't get it and they think it's an insult. But they have straight hair. I'm known for my hair as most curlies are. My hair wobbles cause I have very springy curls. I think it's cute.
