Yeah, I got mushroom too.

Other than that, my hair related nicknames were usually a result of my previous fondness for crazy colors.

I don't know if you guys are still looking for nicknames, but the best one that related to my curly hair was "Fluffy Wonderdoodle", hence my username haha. It was coined by my uncle, who also told me that I was a special "Keeberry" that he found growing wild in the backyard and picked me one day and brought me home...

How about "Witchiepoo", yeap anyone from the HR Puffinstuff era may remember that one. When I was in elementary school my hair was long and one length and not quite as curly as it is now but mainly puffy and frizzy. Now I kinda laugh because my dd who is that same elementary school age as I was has the same hair I did but her's is now shorter. Good thing there's no "Witchiepoo"!

My brother used to call me "Donna King" as in relation to Don King. It used to get me everytime but not anymore. I do see what he was talking about now when I look at pics, lol.

Another nickname was "CB" as in crooked bun since it was crooked...: ) Not so curly related but definitely hair-related.

I used to get "poodle" from time to time.

This wasn't a nickname, but I remember a really funny incident when I was in college. My friends and I were eating lunch in the dining hall, and waiting for another friend of ours to show up. The dining hall was packed, and he finally found us after looking all over the place to see where we were sitting. He was really ticked off, and says, "I was looking everywhere for you guys! I tried our usual table, I looked for your knapsacks, I tried to spot Lisa's hair..."

Wookie, Chewbacca Jones, Chewy, Mop-head, fluffy, etc, etc.

I'm sure there were others, I just can't remember them at the moment.

When I was in high school, my friend's Dad used to call me "Flossy".

It made me cringe every time. And even now, nearly twenty years later, he still calls me that when I see him.

In High School I dyed the tips of my hair pink/bright reddish...so then my nickname was Curly Fries in Ketchup.

My dad called me "Snagglepuss." After my parents divorced, I lived with my dad, and he brushed my hair. It HURT and I would run away from him. Eventually I think he discovered detangler.

My peers called me "Little Orphan Annie" because sometime around 6th grade I cut my hair real short and it poofed out. (When I was little I had long, beautiful curly hair--I hope one of my daughters has it, too--when I have kids!) They would sing, "The sun will come out tomorrow!" and to this day I can't stand that song.
