Default Funny Nickname

My user name! Well, maybe that is just funny to me... it's a nickname that my husband gave to me years ago. He also makes a funny little noise to go along with the name when he calls me that.

Mushroom head is another. That one wasn't actually mine but belonged to my Mom. Once when she cut her hair into a bob shape and had really tight curls the silhouette of her head just looked like a giant mushroom. My sister and I just got a kick out of calling her that especially when she was driving and we were in a different car we would start saying "follow the mushroom head."

LOL! I love this thread I've had many, "Curly Sue" is I'm sure a common one for most of us. I just call it my "Poof", but my all-time-favorite is "Ramen Noodels" !!!

When I was younger "Chaka Khan" was the one I heard most. As of late, "Fuzzy Wuzzy"....a little girl I tutored caught me on a bad hair day....

that bug-catcher thing is funny: i always use hairspray now to keep down my frizzy flyaways. my hair was called Poofballs and when I wore it in a high ponytail, a few girls said it looked like a big poofy firework. not funny!

Never saw this thread before.

My ex used to give us nicknames on behalf of the cats. As in what the cats would call us. He was "that one with glasses" and I was "the curly one."

I never had a curl-related nickname ever, but when I was a kid, random people on the street would call me Maradona. Wish it'd been for being talented! lol

Talking

My nick name was springhead, my uncle called me that for years and when I started junior high, my cousin yelled it acroos the lunch room my first week.
So finally after 22 years of toucher, I bought a flat iron and straightend my hair. It was always done in good fun, but it was nice to finally win and I can go curly anytime I like... how lucky I am.

Default Ugh

At my high school, the hallways are really crowded... and once I accidentally pushed this girl as I was trying to find my way through. I said excuse me to her. She responded...

"YOU BETTER SAY EXCUSE ME YOU CURLY-HEADED B****!"

Now, unfortunately, all my friends call me this. Sigh.

My mother's favorite was always Roseanne Rosannadanna or Cousin It.

That's all I really got. I had really frizzy almost fro hair but no one ever gave me a hard time about it. My two year old said to me just now that my hair looks like "curly spaghetti" which is what my three year old calls Rotini pasta! LOL!!

Default Nicknames

I have millions of nicknames when it comes to my hair. There is curly fry, curly haired f*ck, swirlz (which is my person favorite), frizzy, fuzzyhead, curly, kinky, kinky gal, curly curla, curla, curly Karla, orphan annie, shirley temple, poodle, curly sue. And probably a lot more. People just say something to do with my hair and I respond. I am the only one in my town, with my kind of hair. Actually, at the moment, I have it straightened, so they called me, Not so curly curla, not so curly haired f*ck.. and so on and so forth.

When I was a little girl (age 2 or 3-ish) my sisters' friends called me "Garfunkel". It was a pretty apt comparison, that's what my hair really looked like!

in grad school my friends called my "Fifi". I would have two sides of my head have a dog fight; holding a bunch on hair in each hand and make the bark at each other. It was very funny!
