Sally's new generic wen product.

so i bought 2 bottles today. here is what the website says:

i bought the dry scalp and the color treated hair formula...what have other wen users tought of it? it is only $9.99 with sally's card.

I tried out the olive one for dry hair. Made my hair feel like straw and FRIZZY! Oh, also made my head sting and itch, eeek.
I would suggest you try one before opening the other bottle. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did.

no i have not used this before. did you use the olive oil wen or the sallys? did you use a lot of it?

I used the one from Sally's after reading comparison reviews online. I used a ton of it like they said.

I been using the olive oil hair one 1 like a month now and no issues whatsoever so far, no dryness just shiny clean hair and scalp. I even noticed that sumtimes i get lil flakey itchy patches in a spot when i use certain poos and ever since i been using this its clear up with no flare ups , weird huh. I also noticed that on some condish washes i get oily or limp hair and with this my hair hasnt been oily or limp everytime i use it. Right now my hair is shoulder legnth so i dont have to use alot and when i mix water with it it spreads alot thru my hair. I wanna try the color fade 1 when i get highlights redone next month.

so i used it this morning. did not take as much as i thought that it would. only used about 4 pumps each on the top and ends of hair. i used the dry scalp formula...it is still drying now. i used 1/2 a pump as a leave in and put a little gel on top of that . my hair is pretty soft right now...maybe too soft. i will let you all know.

Hi Ladies,
Yeah I used to use WEN for about 3 yrs. At first great results. I used SAM, CA, LAV, FIG etc. There was a probelm though. It is not CG. It contained amodimethicone. This is not water soluable at all. You can google it.
Anyway as time went on I noticed that I had more hair coming out in the shower than usual. Until I came on the boards here, and some very helpful people told me, I thought I was doing something good for my hair. Well now I am 5 days off of WEN, and my hair is not coming out like it was, and I now can see all the breakage from yrs of it.

The reason it works so well is that the cone coats the cuticle of the hair like teflon. So especially if hair is damaged it will respond well. Just thought I'd let you know, so you do not have to go through what I did.
When I saw this up here I called Sally's and had them read me the ingredients, since they were not listed here. Same stuff different label. So I now continue my quest for better hair and Chaz Dean doesn't get richer. All of the women in my family used to use it also.

Used jojoba one today, and so far so good. My hair is a pain in the a&*, doesnt seem to matter if I use cones or not. I have no issue with the A cone, and I clarify every 2-3 weeks anyway. I didnt need as much as I thought I would either.

Wheat protein is in all three Sally's versions. This type of protein is always drying for me.

I know that there have been posters that stopped using WEN cuz of the "cones" in it and they weren't very pleased. Does the Sally version also have "cones"?

i don't do the CG routine. sorry i am an everyday washer and i use whatever works. i usually don't have any problems with any products.

I bought the Olive Oil one but I'm thinking of also getting the Cucumber one for normal hair and use a mixtue or ind what works for me. I've got normal to dry hair so I fall in between. I wish that this line also had a styling line to go along with the cleansing conditioner.

I bought this the other day at Sally's - the sample packet. It was on sale for 99 cents. but I have to wait two weeks before I can give it a try as I'm on a "diet" at the moment.

If you really want to save money and have some control over what goes into your cleansing conditioner, you can make it yourself. I actually love Wen but I'm going to see if I like this recipe. If it's as good as Wen, and I don't see why it shouldn't be, I'll probably make a years worth. Click link below for recipe.

hi. i used to use wen,fig,for years, but i couldnt afford it anymore. about 6 months ago i started using hair one. i honestly see no difference between wen and hair one. my hair is soft and shiney.(short cause i had all past damage cut out, but in great condition) ,. i will keep using it because it works for me. i wish they would come out with some of the other stuff in a knock off version, like the spray, or the mask.
