Kinky Curly Didnt work for me! :(
I was so excited to use this stuff! I dont know what happened! I first washed my hair of course. Used the KT in my hair (which i must say is a GODSEND!!!) and put it in m hair using my fingers. After i put it in, it started to get hard and the spagetti like hair lol. It worked for my edges and front because it was already wavy but the rest of my hair is straight and the custard did nothing for it. So i used it again but this time i didnt put as much custard in. Still no dice My hair type is 4b. my last relaxer was in june 0f 08. It's now october so i know the relaxer is gone. Before i put the custard in my hair was wavy in the front but the rest is straight (like i have two textures).
Can anyone help me out?

I don't use it with the KCKT. I didn't find it moisturizing enough. I use either Giovanni Direct or KBB nectar. It also sounds like you may have used too much. Some people have a "learning curve" with this product.

I'm confused about the relaxer part. From what I know, they don't go away unless you cut the hair off. The product does seem to work differently on relaxed hair, so I am wondering if that is part of it.

Well what i mean is that the relaxer or at least should be out of my hair since i got in june of 08. I just truly think that this stuff doesnt work for my hair.

Sounds like you have been transitioning for 4 months. Did you big chop or do you still have relaxed hair at the end of the new growth? If you have any relaxed parts on your head, they won't play with the KCCC.

The KCCC is hard to figure out! I don't currently use it anymore. Sold off my jar in samples on the swap board, but when I revisited it this is what help me:
1) Apply to soaking wet hair(to avoid stickiness). Any contact this stuff makes with your skin will be sticky. If applying in the shower use a plastic cap after application to prevent body contact.
2) Layer over a leave-in because it does dry hard as a brick, but gets softer as time goes on without sacrificing hold. It doesn't have to be used with KT. I have used KBB Hair Nectar, MyHoneyChild HoneyNutt etc..... Try it with whatever works for you normally.
3) Make sure to distribute the Curling Custard. If you forget to apply it to a section of hair it will frizz and stick out like a sore thumb. Try raking through your hair with wet fingers after application to make sure the Custard has been applied evenly.
4) If you use too much, the result will be noodlehead. But! You'll need to use an sufficient amount to get several days wear out of the product and to avoid frizzing. A word of caution! The more you use the longer it takes to air-dry.
Someone needs to create on sticky on this! I mean how many people have issue with this product?? Anyway, hope that helps.

okay, your last relaxer was in june 08, so unless you cut off ALL of your relaxed hair, then it's still there. once it's chemically altered, it's done, and nothing but cutting it off will work.
it sounds like that's what's going on. the custard does make your hair feel like that, but there are ways of getting around the crunch stiff feeling. i prefer it because it weighs my hair down and i get no shrinkage, but it does soften up after a few days.
but believe me, if you have any straight hair, from perm or flat iron damage, the kccc WILL make it show. which is why i was so gung ho to cut my straight ends off.

Relaxers never leave your hair. They are a permanent chemical bond.

Thanks sbb, you were more clear than I was. Unless it was a brazilian keratin treatment or something non-permanent, relaxers don't go away until you cut them out.
I've read about KCCC not playing well with the relaxed portion of hair in transitioners.

Thanks ladies. I had an assumption I was transitioning. I'm going to use the Custard for my wet sets. I asked Shelley would it be a good idea and she said yes.
