Has anyone ever tried Emu Oil?

Dang it! I need to take it back to the store then because the lady told me the "oil" was thin like olive oil & I'd be able to spray it with one of those pump & mist/spray oil bottles without diluting it. GRRR

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
Edited due to a cyberstalker. Sorry, guys.

I got a facial last winter from a 60 year old estetician (i'm pretty sure i spelled that wrong but you know what i mean, right??) and she had the best skin. I asked her what she used and she said that she had been using emu oil for about 2 months and she was getting tons of compliments. I bought some and I like it but I don't have any wrinkles yet so I'm hoping it will help keep the skin soft. I also noticed that my bangs were nice and soft in the AM. It is quite expensive, as others have said, but I thought I'd just chime in and say that i liked it too!

As for using it again on hair, the more I think about it, the more I realize that everyone is right --it's too expensive to use for saturating the hair. BUT, I just smooth my hands over my hair at night after I put it on my face, and it makes my hair very soft and shiny. My hair has been looking much better since it's the outer layers of my hair that have the most damage.
I'm sorry if it came across that I thought sheep were killed to get lanolin. I know they're not.

I have the oil, which is still like molasses. I was hoping to put it in a spray bottle.

I kind of like the smell.

Do you think if I microwaved it, it would spread easier?

Lazy Loops, I'm confused. Do you want it in a sprayer for your skin or your hair?

bumping this old thread up as I was reading about emu oil promoting hair growth. Plus being australian it's readily available. For those of you who still use it, have you looked at australian sites. One of the first sites I looked at had 1litre emu oil for $154 AUD, which would work out to about $4.60 aud an oz.

For those of you still using it - are you still loving it?

I looked up emu oil to see where the oil comes from. It is fat. There isn't any way to get it without killing the animal.

I got emu oil from Garden of Wisdom for my face, but ended up using it on my hair. It is odorless. I rub some on my hairline -- the baby hairs at night -- and it is completely absorbed in the morning. I'll do a scalp massage occasionally pre-shampoo, as well.

Btw Emu's are scary they chase you if you're not careful - and they are really fast.

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SW1199/ItemDetail I get mine here; this is the cheapest I have seen. I have been massaging emu oil on my scalp at night regularly for a couple months; I alternate with Cocoveda oil and I actually have a bunch of new growth! Not sure if the growth is from the oils or what but my new hair is about 1 1/4".

Just bought a 2 ounce bottle of Emu oil from the Vitamin Shoppe for $13.

Since I was a baby, I've had rougher drier spots on my cheeks especially in the winter. Used a bit last night and they already feel smoother. I moisturize regularly so I may mix some in with my daily moisturizer.

I also mixed some Emu oil with Jojoba oil as a hot treatment and feels better and washed out easily- not like EVOO.
