Ok PJs...
1 Attachment(s)
I posted in the shampoo-less forum about some frustrations I am having, and the wonderful people who responded said something about switching to more natural products...
Sooooo...what do you natural products PJ's recommend? I try to be a hair product minimalist, so if you have a simple set of products that work well, I am all ears. I think I am between a 3A and 3B...I tried attaching a picture, it might not have worked...if no, I can try other ways of showing hair pics. This pic is pre-CG, pre-knowing how to care for curls period. Thanks in Advance! |
kathymack's soap bars are awesome, and I'm having pretty good luck with KCCC plus FOTE aloe vera gel. I'm waiting on KBB so I can try it instead of my current rinse-out conditioners... which are fine, but I am allured by the sweet siren-song possibility of curlier hair with these natural products. :D

:munky2: Someone calling me???? I have to say that the soap bars have been fantastic. In addition to KCCC and Fote. I haven't been able to ditch CK which isn't "all natural" so to speak but it still is CG . It's a STAPLE and I have to have it before anything else goes in my hair or it doesn't hold and it gets super POOFY. I was amazed that KCCC paired with FOTE actually works for me :toothy3: Forgot to ADD: I am awaiting samples of Donna Marie L&T and CB so will post results from that as well. |
I also second kathymack's shampoo bars. They are to die for. And I highly recommend KBB milk or nectar as conditioner/leave-in. I love love love KCCC as a styler, but can't give up my re:coil and am hesitant to give up my Alagio Curl Balm. They're just great. I wanna try QCCC, but gotta hold off for right now.
I also have John Master Organic gel of some sort that I like, but don't use it very often. |

IMHO I actually like Giovanni LI better than KBB Nectars. At least for my little girl who has 3a/2b hair becuase I can use it as a styler and leave-in. The Nectar doesn't have the same effect on her hair. I haven't tried either because I'm using KCKT but when that is gone I'll be usin GLI. |
I love KBB nectar! It has the right amount of moisture without weighing me down. I use it as a rinse-out and a leave-in. So far it's been better than the milk, which may be attributed to the amount of oils.
FOTE is good for defining curls, but I don't get much hold from it. I've been using it under a gel (the last thing I'll give up to go all natural). Although tonight I tried Donna Marie's Coco Curly Butter instead of FOTE and I seem to have more spirals. Will know for sure how it holds up tomorrow after scrunching out. I'm still experimenting with that and the Lock & Twist pudding. |
