I think I hate my haircut
It was okay for a bit, but now it's like some of my curls are just waves. Instead of laying in spirals, it's like big waves. I think the layers I had put in by a the stylist broke up my curl pattern or something. Is that possible? Here's what it looks like.

OMG I think it is gorgeous! Seriously- I love the perfect waves/spirals you have going on there- my hair will never achieve that look, too tight curls. And the colour is to die for. I know it can take time to get used to a new haircut but trust me when I say it looks great!

My hair looks pretty similar to that. I think it looks good!

Thanks girls! You're too sweet. I guess I'm just missing the ringlets that I once had. I wish I had a deva trained stylist here, but there isn't one, so I have to take a chance on someone, hoping they know what they are doing.

your hair looks great!
Did you have it all one length before?
My hair does that question mark thing at a shorter layer. So I cut layers in and then let it grow so the layers curl more. I get most of my actual spirals around my face and my longest layer.
I like spirals but I need some volume in my hair.

I think it looks great too, but its hard when you look in the mirror and dont see what you wanna see.
Give it a week; it'll settle in.

I agree that it looks great -- but I can understand your frustration. It does look like the curls are looser than your avatar pic. It looks like she cut some curls on the curl and it's making them less curly. But although it's not as spirally, it does look nice! Maybe it will spiral more as it grows, and it will still look good as it grows out.

I know she cut it on the curl. There's no one around here that knows how to do it otherwise. They just pull it out straight and snip. Maybe it'll curl more as it grows. I'll give it some time. It's about 3 weeks old already though, and looks worse than it did when it was first done. Thank you for the compliments though!!

Honestly, I think it looks lovely. But then, when I had my hair cut a few weeks ago, I really hated it. It didn't feel right, and my curls didn't exactly seem the same. Despite all of the compliments I had gotten, it just felt wrong. I'm happy to say that after a few weeks the cut has grown on me, and the curls have returned to their normal selves. Maybe it's gotten a little bit longer? Maybe the products she used in the hair washed out? Who knows? Anyway, just give it some more time and enjoy the compliments!

I think it will get better as it gets longer. I have a double edged sword problem in that I need some layering to give me height and volume, but if it's done wrong, it takes out all my curls. Bah.

I'm sorry you hate your new cut! (It does look great though!) It looks like we have really similar hair. The same thing happens to mine when it is layered/cut short. Mine doesn't look so shiny or have such great color, though, so I am jealous! Give it time. You will probably find that it will start to spiral again soon.

Thank you! It seems a little better today. I used Recoil on it with loob over top, with KBB as my leave in.

It looks like it's recovering! My hair does the same if cut on the curl; it goes through an awkward stage as it grows out. Patience, it's growing out nicely.
