Default What do you use on dry hair to defrizz?

I would love to find something that I could smooth over my dry hair during the day when it gets frizzy. Something that is moisturizing but not greasy and something that's smooth and light- not thick and sticky. JC N&S was too greasy and thick for me. I have also tried pomades and waxes, but they are usually too sticky.

Any suggestions?

I do the Mims method - spritz with water, then smooth a mixture of water and FOTE. Takes care of frizz, is pretty light, and cheap!

FOTE I smooth some water, smooth the FOTE, scrunch and then let it dry...

FOTE dries a bit crunchy on me, so I usually have to SOTC again but it works like a charm.

ETA: lol, jenn and I posted at the same time :P

I do the mims method on dry days with FOTE.

On humid days, like today, it's gotta be CK.

Great! I already have some FOTE so I'll have to try that! I think I've only used it on wet hair. I was hoping for something portable, but if the FOTE works, I guess I could put some in a small container to keep in my purse and at work!

Earlier today, I tried some JC Awe Inspiraling Spray that I had a sample of. Seems to work decent- it's worth it just to smell the JC island scent that I love! I don't know if I have the mag sulfate issue, it seems I never can find the cause of my issues- I just don't pay attention enough. And I'm always rotating and trying new things.

I tried FOTE today on dry hair and actually got second day hair because of it! I rarely get second day hair, and when I experiment on dry hair I do it in the morning before I wash it because I'm gonna start over anyway so I don't care if it doesn't work. I used the FOTE without water, just straight gel on my fingers and twisted it around my curls. It dried with a tiny bit of crunch, which scrunched out easily leaving shiny, defined, less frizzy hair.

yay! It's my go-to for second day hair too. nothing else tames frizz the same way for me.

Where do you get the FOTE? I know what it is but have never seen it.
Thanks

I use a tiny bit of jojoba oil - just a tiny drop from the bottle in palm. Smooth my palms together to warm it up and coat my whole palm and then gently scrunch it into dry hair. It tames frizzies and redefines curls with no added "product-y feel." They sell little tiny bottles of it too if you just wanted to toss it in your purse. HTH

I use a very tiny bit of olive oil. Just hardly any, rub it between my palms, then smooth it over my canopy and ends. Takes care of any flyaways and "dead ends".

I was just out in the wind. Came in a smoothed/scrunched a little MGA Texture Paste in/on my hair and it really made it better.

Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil - sprinkle a few drops in my palm, emulsify well, and smooth over canopy / scrunch into ends. I have to be careful not to overdo it, though; if I do, the oil wicks up into my roots and they start looking greasy. If I feel like I need moisture and curl enhancement, I scrunch in Lily of the Desert aloe gel before the oil.

I have not gotten FOTE or KBB nectar to work, although I'm still trying! These might be better for me on wetter days.

I tried the AVG! Just wet my hands, put a pea-sized amount into my hand, smoothed over my hair and scrunched a little! Worked awesome for my mid-day frizz fest! Thanks my chicas!

For some reason LOTD worked much better for me than FOTE ever did (in wet hair, as a gel anyway).

Maybe the FOTE preservatives don't play well with our hair, somehow. I love LOTD in wet hair with a stronger gel over it.

(Sorry for the guano, everyone.)
