Natural Conditioner WITHOUT Coconut Oil?

I think I've figured out that products containing coconut oil are what is causing me to break out around my hair line, so now I am looking for a good natural, coconut oil FREE conditioner that is also low in proteins, preferably something I can find at a health food store locally. Too much to ask?

Anybody have a good rec?

I wonder if that's why I'm breaking out? I've been breaking out on my forehead, which hardly ever happens since I started ProActiv a couple years ago. But now, that isn't even working! I don't know of any good non-coconut oil condish, hopefully someone has some good recs for ya! And I just might have to try it too!

Something like that happened to me. I got all these weird bumps and a horrible rash! It's a good thing I didn't like that conditioner.

Nourish and Spa from Trader Joe's is really good. It doesn't have coconut oil, but I'm not sure about protein. Here are the ingredients:

Purified water, rosemary oil, valencia orange, mango, lemongrass, ginko giloba, echinacea, willow bark, sea kelp, chamomile flower, textured soy protein, lavender, grapefruit, tocopherol (Vitamin E), acetamide MEA, cetyl alcohol, citric acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, botanical fragrance.

The Refresh from Trader Joe's is protein free. It smells really good, but the slip isn't that great, so it's better to use as a cowash since it's great as a cleanser:

Botanical water extracts of chamomile, comfrey, lemon peel, sage and yarrow, cetyl alcohol, ceteareth-20, citric acid, jojoba oil, essential oil of sweet orange, panthenol (vitamin B5), ascorbyl palmitate (Vitamin A), essential oil of grapefruit, essential oil of tangerine, sodium hydroxide, methyparaben, propylparaben, fragrance.

Good luck finding your conditioner

Maybe that's why I've been breaking out recently. Do suave COs have coconut oil? Because I love the coconut one, but if it's what's causing me to break out then out with it!

Sorry, I realize you're looking for natural conditioner, but I'm wondering if I'm having the same issue with the suave.

I want to run away and join the Cirque.

I like suave naturals ocean breeze (sea algae and vit e) or aloe with waterlilly. My scalp doesn't like coconut oil. I found this out while doing a DT with coconut oil. I've tried suave with coconut and it made my scalp angry but I thought it was another ingredient.
The only conditioner I found last winter that was moisturizing enough was the AO conditioners--and I could only use them once or twice a week in winter and not at all in summer (they do have coconut base.) I started using KBB hair milk as my rinse out in August and use it everyday--which is unusual for me. Neither the KBB milk nor nectar have coconut oil.

AOHR doesn't have coconut oil, but it does have a coconut fatty acid cream base, (which I think is just a hippy-dippy-trippy way of saying cetearyl alcohol) so I don't know if that would work
Kiva! Microfinance works.

I think its Suave..in fact specifically..the Methyl..chro-what zane preservative stuff..I think that chemical has been banned becuse of its skin irritant factor..I though i was the only one getting breakouts along my hairline. I switched to Tigi MM which has Parabens as preservatives but not the Chloro-zone -thing and the breakouts vanished.

Yep..im sure youre good with the Coconut and i think with the chemical preservatives, the Parabens are the lesser of the 2 evils.
I like Alba Botanica Leave-In, and I noticed that the detangling conditioner doesn't have coconut oil and low protein.

My hair doesn't like coconut oil, so I rarely purchase products that have it on the ingredient list.
