Default Can I?

Okay tonight I want to use a ACV rinse and then wash it out with HE Hello Hydration conditioner I'm trying to go CG. I have heard of some people using HE Hello Hydration and being CG. Here are the ingredients

Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Vanilla planifolia Fruit Extract, Cocos Nucifera (coconut) fruit extract, Glutamic Acid, Fragrance, Bisaminopropyl Dimethicone, Benzyl Alcohol, EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Citric Acid, Blue 1

Is this okay to use if I want to start going CG? I also use Fantasia IC Gel which i know has a water soluble cone. I also want to know if when you guys do your ACV rinse if you use more than two table spoons to a cup of water for two cups? Oh and I was wondering if any of you guys put honey straight from the little honey bear into your hair and if this is CG?

Yes, HEHH conditioner is fine to use. I use 2 TBL of ACV in 2 cups of water. I also have been know to mix ACV, honey and conditioner together. Works really well for me. Any more ACV than a couple of TBLs smells too strong for me.

Honey can be used directly in wet hair as a leave-in (just don't use too much or you might attract insects!) or it can be mixed with other things, i.e., water, conditioner, FOTE, gel... You really just need to experiment. Search the forums for honey. There are a bunch of threads out there that could be helpful to you.

Beware: HE HH works good for me, a 2C that shampoos once a week. But it wrecked my SO's hair, fine 3B. It's the bis-'cone. Just be careful. It's not 100% CG.

well.
the conditioner has one cone, but its something ive never heard of and it has something before that - i cant answer this question very well.

BEFORE you try this make sure you clarify! you can either do a baking soda and then ACV rinse or clarify with a sulfate but non-cone shampoo and then go ahead with your co-wash and conditioning.

i LOVE honey. it gives me great clumping - and yes, i poor it straight from the little bear!
what i do is add it half and half with my conditioner and then leave it on for 10-15 minutes as a mini-deep treatment. ill do this about every other time i condition and/or co-wash.

also be careful - when using a water-soluable cone you should probably massage it out before you condition or do anything with your hair in the shower. i find that it builds up if not!

I googled and came up with this:

http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/curly-q-a/curlchemist-amodimethicone-and-other-amine-functionalized-silicones

Basically it's the same kind of silicone as amodimethicone, which many people have problems building up. It may not be horrible for you, but if it does build-up you'll have to use a shampoo to get rid of it. Personally, I wouldn't use it.

Before I try what? Can I just use the ACV rinse to get rid of all my previous cones used. And then rinse it out with HE Hello Hydration Conditioner, then add a little bit of honey and gel as my leave in.

No. You need to clarify the silicones out of your hair, then start CG. ACV will not remove silicone.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

adding to that - ACV does so a light clarification - by light i mean VERY VERY little. probably not noticable.

before you start CG is when you need to clarify - i suggest you check out the going shampoo-less boards' sticky thread!!
