Any low sulfate violet shampoos?
or is clariol shimmer lights about as good as it gets. I use it sparingly and always deep condition after washing, so it's not really a problem. I am just curious.

People with gray or platinum blond hair use the purple tinted shampoo to keep their hair from getting a yellow tinge.

My DH has beautiful straight, gray hair. He uses the shampoo (now he uses some of my bars and rotates.) His hair never looks like it has a tint in it--it's just "bright" with no yellow tinge. I think people associate the "blue hair" with people of a certain age.

my stylist does use a toner, but it does fade after a few weeks and sometimes my hair will still be too yellow in spots. that is what I use the shimmer lights for.
I guess I will just continue to deep condition often, to contrast the dryness it can cause. I was just curious if such a product existed.

How about Aveda Blue Malva? Not sure of ingredients. I did a search and there are a whole slew of shampoos and conditioners. I'm interested in Davine's Alchemical silver conditioner but can't find ingredients. Deva Blonde One Condition looks good too.

Does anyone know if there are violet pigments you can add to your own shampoo? then I could just make my own from my current sulfate free one

This may or may not be helpful. I know PM sells a blue-tinged shampoo and if I remember correctly, it seemed like it was a low-poo.
On the other hand (This is where I might become non-helpful), PM also does sell Shines that I believe do have blue that you can add into your shampoo. I know there is a girl (Dark haired, sorry) that adds something to her shampoo to maintain her dark blue streaks. The downer? You have to have a license to purchase it.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.
No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
