Is there such a thing?

Giovanni makes a straightening serum called, "straight fast" but it has cones in it. Here's a link to it anyway:

Some people use Blended Beauty Straight Pearl as a heat protectant. I personally didn't like it (too thick for my hair, I think).

Avon's Mark brand has a non-cone serum. It's decent.

My favorite is probably Bedhead Control Freak serum. It has water-soluble cones and is not too heavy. I usually use it on wet or damp hair before blowdrying. I don't add more before flat ironing (if I flat iron).

Then there are many products with amodimethicone, if you are not being strict CG. Tresemme Heat Tamer, Nexxus Protexx, Oscar Blandi Jasmine Protein Mist, etc.

THT!

Thanks!

I'm planning on going CG soon, but I still need to straighten my bangs, so that's why I needed to find a CG friendly heat protectant... the one I currently have has tons of 'cones in it!

I know a few.

There's Alberto VO5 Extreme Style Heat Defense Conditioning Spray, 24HR Anti-Frizz, and it only contains amodimethicone (not water soluble but easy to remove and little buildup) and a water-soluble PEG Dimethicone.

Water (Agua), Amodimethicone, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, PEG 12 Dimethicone, PVP, Polysorbate 20, Cetylpyridinium Chloride, DMDM Hydantoin, Trideceth 12, Cetrimonium Chloride, Benzophenone 4, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Silk, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Ascorbic Acid, Niacinamide, Biotin, Fragrance (Parfum), Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool, Hydroxyisohexyl 3 Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal

Also, there's Dove Advanced Care Intense Damage Therapy, Heat Shield Styling Spray. It has a water-soluble cone.

Water (Agua), VP/VA Copolymer, Polyquaternium 11, PEG 2 Oleammonium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance (Parfum), Dimethicone Copolyol, Citric Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylisothiazoline

Thanks, Mint. I didn't know about those. I'll add those to my list.

Default Naked 'Heat Defender' Spray?

AHHHH, life-saver thread!! I'm newly CG, and some mornings will have to blow dry my hair. I'm a UK curly and was considering getting the Naked "Heat Defender" spray, as I know it's silicone free - and I have massive trouble getting CG-friendly products over here!! I live in the sticks, so Boots and Superdrug (or the internet) are pretty much my only options

I was wondering if:

a) Anyone has tried this? Is it any good? Does it actually help reduce damage? (I've tried some in the past, pre-CG, that seemed to do nothing except make my hair stiff/sticky/dry - prob alcohol denat).

b) Anyone could please glance over the list of ingredients for me to check I'm not missing some horrendous gremlin? Naked are normally great for my hair, but I'm only just figuring out CG and still wary of getting it wrong with new products!

Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium PEG-40 maleate/Styrene sulfonate copolymer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated castor oil, Jojoba wax PEG-120 esters, Glycerin, Betaine, Parfum, Panthenol, Dicaprylyl ether, Lauryl alcohol, Tocopheryl acetate, Adansonia digitata (baobab) seed oil, Acacia farnesiana (acacia) flower extract, Cereus grandiflorus (cactus) flower extract, Aloe barbadensis leaf extract, Sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, Citric acid, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, Benzyl salicylate, Amyl cinnamal, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Eugenol, Geraniol, Citronellol, Benzyl benzoate.

If you can help me I'd be really grateful, curly gurus!
