Need some advice please!!!

I have been doing the CG thing since last fall (modified) and you would think I would have this stuff figured out by now.. Here is my problem- I find that if I apply my products while upright my hair looks really flat with no body, even if I diffuse. When I apply my products with my hair pointing towards the floor and then scrunch, then the back of my hair won't lay right when I flip upright again. Same thing when I plop, the back gets wierd looking. Any advice ladies? I am sooooooo frustrated. Feel like I have OCD about my hair- LOL. Any advice/suggestions?

I apply products both ways and diffuse for about five minutes both ways. I pay particular attention to the top and crown of my head--when upside down. Make sure to scrunch with the bowl diffuser. If hair looks "stuck" to the back--I shake my head really well to try to loosen it. Yours is not an uncommon problem.

Thanks Kam- at least it's nice to know I am not "the only one". Will try to do both, instead of one or the other. I value your opinion (your hair looks so pretty), so what do you think about using a denman? I tried it the other day and I loved the result- my hair dried with big, clumpy curls, and volume!!! but I am concerned about damage.

Thanks. I was sending jillipoo some pictures and I can't believe the changes in my hair this last year, LOL.

Lots of people use the Denman with good results and no damage. I loose my curls quickly when I try that. I do mysteryflavored technique for applying all products:

Kinky-Curly styling video

I scrunch in product, rake and scrunch.

I was cowash for six months before I started with the natural soap bars. They are much gentler then lowpoo--which is very drying to my hair. They not only tightened my curl, but added volume. I get added volume from the CJ Aloe Fix Gel, too.

When you use the soap bars and then ACV, do you use conditioner also? It seemed I was getting over conditioned?
