I don't like to use a lot of products on my hair, but i still want something that defines, moisturizes, and holds.

I know a lot of you like to layer products, but if you could use only one product and get away with it, what would it be?

I have two products that are very close - FSG in winter and CK in summer. In summer, I often only use CK. And I've had some success with FSG only this winter.

haha i know that there is no perfect product.

I was just wondering instead of using some type of leave-in for moisture and a gel over it for hold, can there be one product that does both.

Before I went CG, I used Potion 9. It was like a leave in and a very light gel. It was very moisturizing and had a bit of hold. It isn't CG, but it looks as though you are modified. Shampoo would get it out if you shampoo. It does have glycerin fairly high up, so that might pose a problem in cold dry weather. But, I loved it while I was using it. Actually, the only ingredient I can see that isn't CG is amodimethicone. But, that is in some of the Deva stuff. Anywho, maybe you could mix conditioner and gel and use that. I layer them, and that's only two steps...not too time consuming.
