Default my bob

Hi,

I got my hair cut a few days ago and I'm having difficulties getting used to it. I think longer hair suits me better.

But I got my hair cut because I had so many layers which made my hair look very thin at the ends. Now I have it one length and intend to grow it out.
What do you ladies think?

I think it looks adorable! And thicker at the bottom. You can always grow it out if you prefer more length, being sure to avoid too many layers thinning out the bottom, but, really - it looks great at this length, too!

Default always a bob

I would love to have long beautiful curls, but I just don't think that will ever happen. I'm sticking with a bob - inverted and side bangs with lots of layers all over.

The last pic is actually the oldest - that's about the longest my hair ever gets.

WOW. This cut really suits you! You're totally rockin that curly bob! I wish I got as much curl as you do here all over! The longer cut is very pretty too, but the bob is very sexy on you!

I have a curly bob (I think it's a bob) - it's like operacurls picture so there is a bit of layering going on. It is cut that way because I was growing out a TR. The hairdresser tried to make it even but left too many straight ends. I cut them all off myself and ended up with more of a layered bob. I LOVE it except I can't figure out how to get second day hair. Is it possible to do some form of modified pineapple?

I got several inches of my hair cut off a few weeks ago (from past bsl curly-to shoulder length curly), due to an over processing disaster. I have layers and I think its cut into the bob style. Anyway, I love how the curls fall, since its been cut! I'm use to longer hair and working on the grow out process again, but this is nice in the mean time.

Willwork4curls, I love your hairstyle! You really know how to make it work.

I got my hair cut yet again in a similar style, but I can't seem to make it work for me...oh well. Any suggestions? I'm hoping it looks better when it grows out a little. Here a pic, please excuse my goofy face, but it just shows my disappointment

What does SS FHG stand for?

So cute, curly*pixie! Can you tell me how long your top layer is? If you stretched it out, how many inches would it be?

Hey curlypixie - I think your hair is adorable - I would love to have ringlets like that!

If you are still not completely happy with it...one thing you could try is getting your fingers in it and loosening it up. My hair can dry really crunchy and stuck to my head, so I like to put my fingertips in it - down to my scalp - and mess it up a little.

Another thing I do if I want more volume is to - gasp! - comb it a little with a pick type comb. I use the pick sparingly and gently, but it loosens up my hair and gives me volume. It also takes away the wet look that I don't care for on me, although I do add some pomade after combing for hold and direction.

For volume on top - I use my diffuser to lift the hair on the side of my head up toward the top of my head. I lean over a bit, sort of scoop the hair into the diffuser and push it up toward my crown.

I would love to see a pic of your hair a little wilder - kind of loosened up - although it is very cute just the way it is

SS FHG = Spiral Solutions Firm Hold Gel (great stuff although I haven't been using it lately)

curly*pixie, your hair is cute! Mine was that length about 2 months ago. It's hard balance between too much volume and too little. If you want more volume, definitely use a diffuser to lift it up a bit if you aren't already. But honestly, I like it the way it is.

Thanks everyone
@curry curls: my top layer is 8,4 inches short.
@willwork4curls: thanks for the suggestions. What is your routine like? So today I tried to style my hair a bit wilder. Here is a pic. I usually use a diffuser or my curls are really loose and flat. I must have used too much product the other day. This is what my hair usually looks like or like the first one, with all the ringlets.
@everyone else: please show me some pics of your bobs, I'd love to see them.

can I second the request for curly bob pictures? I'm really contemplating the cut and I'd like to see pictures of the bob-long, medium, and short as well as the inverted bob in long, medium and short lengths.

Thanks. I just went ahead and chopped 1&1/2 to 2 inches off my hair yesterday all over. It looks more like your style than my avatar now. I'm happy with it. It does need to fill in a bit, but I'm happy. My top layer is shorter I think...about 6 inches stretched.

I really like this newest pic. That's what I'm trying to get...more piecey pieces. Mine want to be uniform and look very organized. I want chaos.

Your hair is gorgeous and the style looks great on you. Is it an inverted bob or cut straight across the back?

Hi KarenRB53, thank you so much! Well it's cut shorter in the front and longer in the back. And I have layers all around.
