As soon as I get out of the shower and get back to my room (I'm in a dorm so I have a walk) I just put on my shirt (normally a t-shirt since I style at night). Then I go to finger combing, applying products, scrunching, and letting it dry. So for me, with styling at night, the solution is to just put on the shirt before I get the curls going. Obviously, if you style in the morning, this might not be ideal because your blouse would get wet. But maybe if you took a smaller dry towel and wrapped it around your shoulders like a shawl you could avoid most of the drippies

I either put on shirt prior to styling or wrap a curlease towel around my head to get it out of the way. I do this after product but before scrunching with my Curls like Us clothe.

I got my bob about two months ago. Its about an inch past chin length when dry and it is inverted.
Things I like:
-takes way less product
-dries faster
-spunky looking
-its long enough for me to put it back into a low ponytail (its more like a pony-nub actually)
-its different from anything i've had before
Things I don't like:
-my tights curls are nonexistent at this length
-sometimes i feel like i've got triangle-hair
-second day hair is also nonexistent. can't shower at night.
-i can't go anywhere without bobby pins
-wind is my enemy way more than it used to...short curls are way more susceptible to the elements.
Sooo...I'm half and half. I like it, but I'm looking forward to it growing out too.

This thread is useless without pictures!
Yes, I know there are some pictures, but we need to see ALL the beautiful curly bobs here. Avatars are just too small to see clearly.
I had a shoulder length bob years ago, then again last April after a horrible haircut that had to be fixed. Wait, it's shoulder length now again....
What exactly determines a bob? I know the inverted is shorter in back longer in front. Is a regular bob one that is shorter in front and longer in back, or straight across, as well?
If so, I now have a bob again.

All my pictures from after my cut are here, just so the link is in the thread
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_cut
There's a wikipedia for everything! According to that, a bob is "a short haircut in which a weighted area is left to fall between the ears and the chin"
My bob is straight across with a couple long pieces in the front.

Bob's look really cute, but for one, I don't think they would look good on me, I wouldn't be able to put it up in a pony anymore, and many teenagers like me in high school don't get bobs.. soo... haha. ^_^

I should add that TeaTime was nice enough to let me use a big picture of her avatar to take with me on Saturday when I go to see Carlos - that's the inverted bob picture I'm bringing with me! Thanks again, TeaTime!

Didn't think to wiki! lol Well, I have layers in the front and throughout. I'll post pics anyway, you can all be the judges.
I think it was more of a bob in January, before it grew a bit and got relayered last week.

Heh, the pic in my avatar was pretty soon after a hair cut..my hair is not looking nearly so happy right now (grr, I hate the soft water here. I can't wait to get back to GA) But here are the larger ones.

I got a chin-length bob cut on Saturday. I've been trying to get the layers longer so I decided to get it cut off instead of waiting for my hair to get longer and then do it. Right now, I am absolutely HATING this cut!! I'm hoping my hair is just in shock right now and after a week or 2, I'll get used to it and figure out how to work with it better. I'm having a hard time getting any curl into it at all. My stylist just left tapered layering on the ends so I can wear it either straight or curly. I think it needs a little more layering but I'm going to wait until my next trim and see how I'm liking it in 6 weeks. Right now, I feel like I have a fat head. I'll post pics after I figure out what I'm doing with it!

I think the whole hair board is in shock! Not just your hair. It may take a little while for you to adjust. Possible you'll need to change a little of your product and technique. You have beautiful hair--and it will be beautiful in this incarnation, too. Though, I agree with your assessment about having layers without seeing it. My hair has to have them. Remember that the humidity is coming--that will help your hair immensely.

TeaTime - love the cut! Thanks for posting it.
msgiblet - sorry to hear it's not going well yet, give it time and see what it does.

Me, too, MsG. I can commiserate - it's taken about 10 days, but mine's finally curling up better. It sounds like mine may be more layered than yours, though. I still don't particularly like it, just putting with it until it grows out at least a couple of inches so I can do a little more with it.
Good luck! It definitely seems to go thru a shock period, or at least mine always has.

I hear you about the layers, msgiblet - my hair just looks like one big wedged out mushroom without them. If the layers are too short, I look older. If they're too long, they lose the curl. And you can see my hair get less curly once it gets longer than chin-level. But I can't not have layers at all, so it's dicey. I've heard so many great things about Carlos, so I'm not worried - I have TeaTime's pic, plus a couple of other curly bob pictures to show him what I do want. And I have my work ID card from two years ago to show him what I don't want! (It was c urly, yes, but it was much too short - I looked like I was 54!)

Bump!
I got my curly bob from Carlos on Saturday, and it ROCKS! TeaTime, I brought your picture, and he did it in a very similar manner to yours. Some of my layers weren't long enough, so it's not exact, but I'm thrilled. I totally forgot how much I love having a curly bob again, it's so easy and cute!

I promised pics of my bob on another thread, and never got around to it! I went from almost BSL to this length about 3 weeks ago and I do love it, especially for spring. I'm frustrated that 2nd day hair has been mostly impossible to this point, but I'm still working at finding a combo that's good for me.
This is a crappy cell phone picture from yesterday - an awesome hair day. Used the new hot method in the "Oh the clumps!" thread.
