Ok, 11 inches off and on its way to LoL. I wasnt really going for a bob, just a cute short hair style. but since i was getting rid of 11 inches, the stylist recommended an inverted angled bob, so that i wouldnt be TOOOO traumatized!

when i look at the front, i'm ok... but when i go to grab the back, there's no hair! LOL. Will repost once curly... i'm kinda scared to go curly again... PS this is me with str8 hair in GA current weather !!

I think it will look great curly! I started out about that length and kept going shorter. You'll be really pleased with it--it's still long enough that you can pull it into a ponytail.

I have had a bob for several years now. It's the way to go for my hair. I wear it all one length and angled, so longer in the front. Very happy with it this way.

I love the way they look too. I have never been a big fan of having long hair myself.

Default 3b/c bobs: want pictures!

I have 3b/c hair (and lots of it), and spent my whole life fighting frizz--I never thought I could pull off shorter hair because my experience with (crappy) salons was that the shorter it got, the frizzier it got. Now that I have frizz pretty much under control and my curls look good (yay curlmart!), my biggest problem is volume at the crown--I basically have to scrunch my hair with my hands every 20 minutes to keep it up.

I'm now toying with the idea of a chin-length bob, but I'm terrified since I have no idea what my hair will do. My hope is that it will be nice and fluffy all around, but I'm worried it'll still be flat at the top and look ridiculous and bowl-like.

If anyone with 3b or 3c hair in a bob can send me pictures of your hair to give me a reference, I would really appreciate it!

Also, a little off the topic of bobs, I don't own a hair dryer because a million years ago I learned my hair couldn't handle it, even with a diffuser (instant frizz)--but again, now that my products are working out well, I wonder if I should give the diffusing a try to help with lift at the crown. Yay/nay?

I was just about to ask if there were any 3b/c's out there with short or bob style haircuts. I've been admiring all the great curly bobs in this thread and am so jealous. I am SO bored with my hair right now. It's almost BSL and my curls don't seem to be liking the length. It's so difficult to manage, a nightmare to detangle and I find that my curls are getting stringy from the length. I would LOVE to find the courage to go short but my hair is so unpredictable that not being able to pull it up scares me. And I have a TON of it too so I'm afraid I'll end up looking like Bozo the clown with short hair.

I'd love to hear from any short 3b/c's out there.

I got a curly bob at the beginning of March or so and just got my hair cut for the first time since then. I decided to go even shorter for summer - it's easier to manage, plus I'm in a wedding in 4 weeks and won't get my hair cut before then, so I didn't want it to be too shaggy.

Before March cut:

First bob:

New bob:

I love it!

I'm, obviously, not a 3b/c--but I think a curly bob would look great. You can start longer and work your way up, if you're unsure about it. The most important aspect is the right layers. If you have a great stylist, it should come out well.

Wow, the second new cut is really really cute!

I just had an inverted bob cut done yesterday for Mother's Day. I love it. It still has to grow to get to chin length, but the cut is there.

We'll need to see pictures of this new bob, you know!

I've been following this thread for some shorter cut ideas. So many nice short styles here.

I began to use short hair there is somewhat more than 1 year. Day 24 of March I did my curly bobs in the city of São Paulo / Brazil -I'm Brazilian - with Robson Trindade, graduate and specialized in curly hair for the Devachan in NY.

I am simply foul to my hair so, like very much. I think that the curls are more obvious and the cut combines very well with the my round face, besides the easiness in taking care and stylizing.

paying attention to the request of the
jeepcurlygurl, here the photos are of my hair:
