Is this a bob, or just short hair? Either way, what are your opinions on this cut? I had a similar cut many years ago, and have longed to have it back.

Do you think it would work for me? I don't like to get any shorter than a good fist's-worth so I have enough for a good ponytail.

I liked it when I first got it cut, but the problem is that one side of my head is curlier than the other... it looks uneven when it starts to grow, since the less curly side eventually looks longer.

My front layers are a little longer now, and so far I haven't noticed this. Of course, this might not be an issue for you anyway...

I have a curly bob and really like it. I had problems with it being flat on top and wide looking. I found out I need to let it air dry, so it does not poof up. I also have started using the Living Proof Wave Cream. It locks in the curl and gives me the volume I need on top and actually my hair dries quicker when I use this product. As it is drying I just scrunch the top occasionally. I can usually get 3 days out of this routine, which is great. Before I was using 3 different products at the same time and not getting the look that I wanted. I guess less is more.
I did it! I had 3" cut off on Saturday and I love it! My husband says it reminds him of a Flapper Girl hairstyle and loves it. Today is my first day back at work. I've seen two people and they didn't comment on it which makes me think they don't like it. Maybe I'm being insecure. One co-worker asked me if my top was new and she liked it a lot. I've worn this top a few times so maybe she was trying to avoid saying anything about my hair. She won't even make eye contact with me.

Anyways, I really like it. I don't have any pictures yet, but will post some as soon as I do!
Ladies, do you have bangs with your bob? I am getting a trim done tomorrow and I have been very back and forth over what to do with my bangs. They aren't really long enough to do a complete side sweep but not really short enough to go straight down either (they hang in my eyes when they are straight down). I had been trying to let them grow but don't really know how I feel about having no bangs because of having a round face. So I have been debating having them trimmed so that they are short coming across my eyes but longer on the sides (if that makes sense). Would make them a stronger more blunt bang I guess, but the edges would be a little longer so when I pull my hair back, it's not such a blunt line straight across.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Plus, it lessens the weight on top and gives me more front volume.

When I get it settled back down. My hair freaks out after getting a cut. LOL!!!!

And I have decided that my new hair goal is Jennifer Nettles' style (she's from Sugarland)

Granted my hair will not look the same as hers because she is wavy, but a similar style. I like the length and the way her bangs sweep. I am not too far off of it length wise but it takes forever to grow.

RNC - that is going to look great on you! I can totally see that cut curlier, and better, on your red curls.

I just got my hair cut, it's not like the picture I posted that was my goal though. The top/front is actually shorter than that style, and the back is longer (shoulder in front, longer in back). I might go back to have the back brought up a bit more within the week. She was afraid to go too short.

(I read you had it cut, hope the bangs end up working out.)

I demand pictures! (pretty please)

I just joined the legions of curly bobs, and I'm loving it! This was a DIY haircut adventure and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
Pros - easy to detangle, uses less product, shorter drying time, doesn't get caught/smashed/scrubbed up against clothing or the backs of chairs, holds its shape longer.
Cons - not as versatile (or possible) for updos so if it gets messy there's really no way to hide it, second-day hair is out of the question, pineappling doesn't work anymore

Pics: (please forgive the picture-whoring; I figured I'd better comply if I want to see pics from the rest of you, too)
