Default giovanni tea tree shampoo...(also, "spray it curly")

i asked about this in another thread, but thought i would get more answers if i started a new one. does this shampoo have a nasty odor? i have used tea tree oil for different issues w/ my horse and dogs but can't stand the smell of it.
*also*- there is product that my daughter picked up and has given her very nice curl formation and frizz prevention. it's a spray- called "spray it curly" by hask. the front says alcohol free and i looked at the ing. list and it appears to be semi- cg friendly, w/ the exception of peg-8 dimethicone which is the second to last item. (from what i understand- this is a water sol. cone?)has anyone tried this?

if you cant deal w/ tea tree smell than dont get it... if you need it for your scalp maybe try a brown sugar scrub, that has worked for me...

I use the Giovanni shampoo and I love the smell. It has some mint oil/essence/something in it, so that's really the biggest scent. I have not noticed a tea tree smell to speak of, but then, I'm not bothered by the smell of tea tree oil so I'm not sure if it would jump out at me.

I just used the Giovani TTTT conditioner as my cowash and I didn't love the smell while I was in the shower, but it hasn't lingered at all and it seems to have done a great job cleaning while helping soothe my dry scalp AND hasn't dried out the roots, either.

I've used it and didn't find the tea-tree scent overly strong at all, like zerosky said, it's more minty.

Question

Is this Giovanni TTT shampoo good for those with eczema, etc? My son has this, I get a little sometimes too, esp at the nape of the neck. He also gets dry, itchy scalp (not true dandruff).

i recently tried the Giovanni TTTT shampoo and noticed a lot of my hair falling during the wash. it was my first time and i'll definately try a few more times to be sure its not the shampoo but has anybody else had this problem?

p.s.my hair is prone to falling as i have a sensitive scalp

*second wash and lots of hairfall... i'm getting scared to use it again

I don't notice the smell much at all, but what there is is more minty than anything.

Yes, it's good for eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis (me), and just plain old dandruff and dry scalp.

GTTTT shampoo and conditioner are all I use for low-pooing and co-washing.

Default Spray it curly

Not all tea tree products are created equal. My Mom really likes Paul Mitchell tea tree, but disliked Trader Joe's tea tree. So it could just be the brand.

I just picked up a bottle of "Hask Pure Shine Spray it Curly" the other day and I absolutely love it! It is one of the only products that gives me good second day hair.

My current products just haven't been working well recently, so I thought I'd try the spray--after all, it was only $5. Wow! I love the definition, frizz control, and hold I get from it.

It's light, and doesn't weigh my hair down, but it holds up well in windy weather--with minimal frizzing.

But my favorite is that it gave me my spirals back.

FSG combined with icequeen"ing" used to give me lovely spirals from the root. After awhile though, my hair stopped responding to FSG's miraculous touch, and just went limp and stringy.

Now, I have spirals from the root that last ALL DAY!!!! And I don't have to clip the roots either.

I haven't had a problem with washing it out. A good co-wash should do the trick, but you can add baking soda to your co-wash if you still feel a residue.

There's a great article about silicones here:
http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlre...p-on-silicones
that includes a grid for which silicones are water-soluble, and which aren't.

Hope that helps.

anytime you use shampoo you'll notice more hair coming out because of how it cleans as opposed to just co-washing. Its not making your hair fall out its just helping to take the fallen hairs out of your curls.

I really like the Hask Spray It Curly (I think "pure shine" is in the name somewhere, too). It's one of the few spray gels that doesn't spray in a big clump, but I still usually pour it into my hands before application.

I have their mousse as well, and I like that a lot. I think it was xcptnl who inspired me to try them, and they're frequently BOGO at Rite Aid. The scent is to die for!

I use the Hask spray it curly stuff occasionally. Lately, I've been spraying it into my hand, squirting on a glob of FOTE and mixing them up before scrunching it all into my hair. Seems to distribute better and not leave my hair feeling sticky that way, rather than just spraying it directly into my hair all alone.
