I got a Deva cut in Michigan

by Marni and I absolutly love it. I happen to be a hairstylist about an hour away, and it was well worth the drive. I can not tell you how much I learned.I've been in this business for 25 years, and I can tell you she would be a great stylist, even if she wasn't deva trained, but oooooh my curls!! Couldn't have done it myself. So, thank you Marni, for all your paitence and making me look so good.
And, Michigan People, go to Marni, in Farmington Hills.
Good to hear! I'm glad you got a great cut. We need pictures!

I resurrected my forums account (usually I just lurk around) to tell everyone that I just got my deva cut this morning from Marni. I couldn't be happier. She was very nice, and you could tell right away that she KNOWS what she's doing!!! I have been in Michigan for 3 years and I refuse to get my hair "cut" (it's really more like butchered) in Ann Arbor any more.

I have gotten (literally, I've been counting) 23 compliments on my hair today, and 4 were from total strangers. (OK, I did go into Ulta, so I might have been asking for it...) Michigan curlies, get thee to Marni Foster!
I must do this!! it will be about a 2 1/2 hour drive. I said I would, I need to!!! Thanks for the feedback!
for those of us that arent close enough for a drive, where can i find a photo or explaination. I have a trim appointment next week....
Bigred and Celia, thank you so much! I'm so happy you're happy! It was so great meeting you both and you should enjoy every compliment! You're both so beautiful, I can't take all the credit!

She cut my hair dry, then asked me what my normal poo routine is (regular, no poo, or low poo). I'd washed my hair the night before with low poo, so she just did a conditioner rinse. Afterwards she clipped it on top to get lift in the roots, then put some CurlKeeper (yes Marni, I am a huge fan now) and a little bit of AnGell in it. She also did a tiny bit more cutting, but it was more like touching up-it was really a dry cut. After some diffuser for my ends and sitting under the dryer a little for the top, it was done.

Still getting compliments today...I could get used to this.
Devacuts are great. I still rememeber the day i heard that such a thing was out there to try. I really liked my results. The day I scheduled my appointment i was like so happy. It is so cool how they grab each curl and snip it while they are dry. It was very fun. My stylists name is Gretchen. She even let me throw my hands up in my hair towards the end and move it to ways i would style it, then she asked me if i wanted any small changes anywhere and she gave me the little mirror and spun me around so i could see my backs in the big mirror. I was like yeah shape it here and shorten it a little. So my cut was very custom so i loved it and i made sure to tip her. weee! drycuts, i will wait a little till i go again, i want some length back.
I just knewwwwwwww she was going to rock this
