conditioner as a curl creme alternative

I have a big issue finding CG styling products here in france. I've found a gel, but the ... "least bad" curl creme I've found has amodimethicone. I just thought of something though--I have found CG conditioners (we have the jar version of l'oreal vive pro nutri gloss or whatever that pink bottle you all are crazy about is, and this garnier ultra doux avocado and shea butter one). Would using one of these as a leave in be able to replace a curl creme in my styling routine? Or is it a very different kind of effect?
I've had great results using my conditioner that way. I just use my regular conditioner and use it as a leave-in/curl cream. Then I put a dab of gel on top. I use about a tablespoon or more for my short not so thick hair. I love it.

awesome! I might be able to go CG then well, if it works for me.
slightly off (my own) topic :P she doesn't seem to be using the CG version of that fructis conditioner? I realllly wish fructis was CG, I used to use it fairly religiously and I would get SO many comments on how good my hair smelled, crazy stuff. Now I get pretty hair, and my boyfriend goes "eek, your hair doesn't smell so great" XD

I occasionally use a conditioner as a curl cream. Mainly my GVP Conditioning Balm. You might be able to find Biolage Conditioning Balm over there...at least, I know mumofcurlygirl can find it in the UK...I assume it might be readily available in France, but you know what they say about assuming...

Anyhow. I really like using a thicker conditioner as a curl cream. It's great stuff. It gives me a totally different look.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
Hey there!! I'm in France too and just starting out. I had a really hard time trying to find product. I'm using the nutri gloss stuff as a leave in. Where in France are you?
