Default Coconut Water??

I was in Whole Foods this weekend (and I did not buy one hair product - AMAZING!). While I was there they had a huge display of coconut water. They were in this little cardboard type container - probably 10 ounces, They had 'flavors' but also just plain coconut water. Is this anything I would use on my hair???

This is what it looked liked and according the website it only has coconut water in it. They also have peach and mango and some other flavors.

Its the latest "health" beverage. I question it because lots of the "fashionistas" drink it.

I think I'd have to add some rum and pineapple juice to it -- & not for my hair, either!

But it's so darn tasty - esp with coconut chunks at the bottom ! I've pretty much grown up drinking coconut juice way before the hip crowd caught on. All the asian food stores I went to had tons of this stuff!

I would imagine that this is the watery portion that separates out of coconut milk. I use it instead of water in DTs, herbal infusions, etc.

Hmmm
sounds rather interesting.
If we could use coconut oil in our hair, maybe the juice isnt so bad either. Im not sure about the smell. But i wouldnt mind giving it a try.

The Jamaican stores have always had this too. I love coconut water! I don't use it for my hair though.

Where I come from (an island in the caribbean) we drink coconut water from the actual coconut. Delicious and refreshing! I would not put coconut water in my hair.

If your hair likes coconut you could expirament with the water by doing a coconut water rinse and see how your hair likes it. Other than that I don't see any real uses for it on the hair.
Although drinking it will do wonders for your body. Its better to drink coconut water after a tough workout than any of the popular sports drinks on the market. Much much much healthier for you than any gatorade or powerade could ever be.

I can't imagine it would do much for our hair? Not like Coco Milk or Oil. But I'm another Coco Water fan, I LOVE drinking this stuff it helps me with my SWEET tooth. YUMMY YUMMY stuff!!!

EWwwwwww to all you coconut lovers. It's the one thing that I cannot tolerate. I can pick out a coconut flake from 50 paces! The mere thought of drinking it makes me gag (sorry).

If people use coconut milk on their hair I would think the water would have some benefits as well. But what do I know - I HATE coconut.

I love the coconut fruit, but i hate the water!!! It's so weird to me! ALLLLLLLL my family loves the water, but eeww, not me!! When I was younger there was this coconut soda thing called cocorico... eewww. but cut me open a coconut and hand me spoon and I AM READY! LOL. I like coconut when it's 'new' where the insides are all jiggley or when the inside is hard.

No clue as far as hair... sowie.

xcptnl Coconut water is very thin, it's just like water!! That's why I don't see how your hair could benefit from it there's nothing to it. Coconut milk on the other hand is rich and thick like cream which is why it's so moisturizing. If you get the Light coconut milk it's yummy in smooothies too

mmm DROOL

Coconut. Coconut milk. Coconut Cream. Coconut water.

Coconut ice cream. Coconut macaroons. Piņa coladas. Coconut Chillers. Coconut cream pie. Almond Joy & Mounds.

Coconut conditioners & sulfate-free shampoos.

...

But not Coconut Oil for my hair because it's so heavy, & I haven't tried it yet for cooking/baking because of the calories.
