Default I'm getting a Deva cut on Thursday...

...and I still have no idea what I want!

This is my first cut in over a year (and first Deva cut ever!), and I'm not sure whether I'm just looking to clean up the shape and add some layers, or if I want to do something more drastic. So many curlies have gotten such great bobs lately that it's very tempting, but I'm just not sure how I would look with short hair. I really like jaimers' cut and the inspiration pics that Megan15 just posted. Here is my hair earlier this month (more in my Fotki):

It has gotten ridiculously long--longer than I've ever had it--so I'm definitely getting some length off either way since it's getting to be too much for me to handle. It also isn't curling very well at the root since it's so weighed down from the lack of layers. Should I cut it short? Shorter than what I had in mind? Leave it long? Argh...

Have to say I've always had major envy of your long, beautiful curls. Maybe start with something less drastic and then go shorter later if you want to? Of course, I may be biased because I've always hated my own hair really short.

My husband referred to my last short cut as the "red rhombus"--needless to say it was a bit pyramid-shaped. Of course, that was long before my CG days and having a Deva stylist, so I'm holding out hope that it will be a lot better the second time. He also has said that I can't go back in a couple months to cut it short (he's cheap and can't fathom the cost), so if I want to go short in the near future, I need to do it now.

Thank you so much for the compliment--I have nothing against it being a reasonable length, but I'm really starting to feel like my hair is wearing me instead of the other way around. I'd also love to have it off my neck before summer arrives. Ooh... this is tempting.

Oh those short cuts look sooo cute. If only my face looked good with a bob...and BF wouldn't totally flip. I say talk to your stylist before you totally decide. Let them look at your hair and face and see what they recommend first. And let us know how it goes
