Default Yay! Haircut! I feel like a true curly now. :D

I finally got my hair cut yesterday and got rid of all the damaged ends.

I was a bit nervous at first because the hairdresser basically broke all the basic curly hairdressing rules. She shampooed my hair and did that thing where you pile it all on top of your head and rub it really vigorously, then she put in a coney conditioner which she washed out and only then did she start detangling my hair - then she complained it was really tangled (but it had no condish or anything in it). She got a fine toothed comb and combed it and combed it until my hair was literally dead straight - then she started cutting it, making sure she had the comb handy to comb it straight whenever it started curling again.

Surprisingly though, it came out alright! I'm really pleased to have gotten rid of the straight ends and my hair is so much curlier and softer now.

And I think my hair type has changed - what do you think it is?

Before:

After:

Hair type?

I have no product in and I just clarified to get rid of the cones so my hair is a bit frizzy and undefined.

Thanks in advance. x

No product and that kind of shine?? Lucky you!

It looks very cute! I think once you get moisture in it to counteract having to sulfate wash and style it's going to shrink up even more!

It looks very solid 3a/3b to me but I'm bad at these things. Hair type doesn't really matter anyway And thank you about my blog!

Wow, sometimes my hair looks like that on GOOD days! Lovely hair. Maybe a 3a/b? But it will curl tighter, I think, once you give it some CG love.

Thumbs up

Wow, big difference in curls there! Esp without product. I'd love to see it after you've got some conditioner and styler in there, those curls are really going to tighten up. I'd agree with 3a/b, but we'll have to see as time goes on and they change. Nice haircut and you are very pretty.
