No. Isnt that odd?
I had one in my temple after I gave birth to my youngest (he's 8 this month), but I guess it fell out due to post partum hair loss? Tehn I had one on my crown about 3 years ago but when I had that bout of alopecia it fell out and didnt grow back with the rest of what I lost....
When I get my highlights my colorist checks and he claims so far none. WHats up with that?

Hmmm..way? I said a few...
"Have you seen her avatar? No one should have hair that shiny! She's just a few years older than I am and she doesn't have one single grey...grrr!!! "
You look younger than me, Missy! I need to see some ID please!

My best friend is the same age as me (45) so you're not that old. Anywhooo, she also has not one grey hair on her head. Her mom who is close to 70 has almost none. I, on the other hand, am probably 30-40% grey hard to tell since I foil it out every 3-4 months.
Curse you and your perfect ringlets, great volume and no-grey genes!

Her mom has no greys at 70???? THAT is rare. My folks (77 and 87) are completely grey. My 2 older sibs (50 and 54)are about 50/50.
I gotta tell you, that bout with alopecia changed me. I am happy to have hair.

My grandmother that died last year was 95 and had very few grey hairs. The genetic lottery....
I hear ya on the hair loss. I had a lot of hairloss due to hormonal issues and vit B deficiency. I had male pattern baldness going on. I'm grateful each day I wake up and there's more hair on my head than on my pillow.

I'm jealous. I started going gray at 16 and at 36 am now 85-90% gray. And I'm way too vain to not color it!
You all have gorgeous hair! You are inspiring new CGs everywhere to throw out their sulfates and silicones!

At 70-ish, she has ALMOST none. Maybe 10% at most. So it is possible.
There was an article on here about reversing the greying process awhile back. Think xcnptl posted it. AAR - there is some sort of chemical reaction (peroxide something or other IIRC) that causes it. Not being the chemistry sort, I don't remember the specifics but it could be whatever process stops just doesn't stop in certain people. If i can find the article, I'll link it.

Since we're hatin' on Rudee, can I just add? Gorgeous hair, no greys, and not a single damn wrinkle, either.
Oh, wait a minute..... that applies to ALL of you!!! Every last one! Not one of you looks your age.
I hate you all.
Have a nice day.

It's all about you and personal choice. There's nothing wrong with coloring your hair if it makes you feel better and you want to do it. Don't feel bad if someone else does not color and don't feel bad if you do color.

My mother was completely gray by the time she was 30. I'm a little better off than she is, but not much. lol I've reached the point that I need to color every 4 weeks because my hair is dark and my roots are white. But I can't make myself go lighter either. I don't have the complexion for it.

I don't really feel bad about it. I'm just inherently lazy and would prefer to do as little as possible in the way of upkeep so wish I didn't have to color so often to keep my hair the way I want it.

My Dad was salt and pepper gray at 30. Now he's 56 and nearly all white. My Mom said she found a gray hair on my head when I was 4!!! She pulled it out. I just started getting gray at about 30. My Mom has lots of gray, but she colors so you just can't tell unless the roots are showing. My brother is 2 1/2 years older than me and I think he may have only a few grays. NO FAIR!

My maternal grandpa was fully grey at 20. In elementary school i had a fair amount of grey sprinkled throughout and thought iwas heading on that path....
Now my 13 year old son has the same thing....
I read that data Whatsercurl referenced re the greys, its very compelling.
As for coloring? Go for it; what ever it takes to make up happy! and as for wrinkles?? Whoever thinks I have none needs glasses! I grew up in the days of baby oil and iodine and boy do I regret it I dont know if I look my age, cause I'm not sure what my age looks like!!!! I feel 30!

My big sis will be 40 next month and has just a few and only started getting them last year. I, on the other hand, take after my mom's mother with greying early.

I have always *****ed about my hair (too curly, too thick, too frizzy). Then when I had the alopecia I VOWED to just embrace it if it would just stop falling out (I had 2 quarter size bald patches and 1 that was about 3x1.5 PLUS diffuse loss throughout).
You dont know what ya got til its gone! That awakening came about 6 months before finding this site. Timing is everything!

My grey started when I was pregnant - hmmm... kids + grey = aha? I think mine was hormonal. My son will be 13 in June so I expect to get a lot more...nah, he's really a good kid.
