My first curly cut with pics

I don't know what to think of my haircut. I feel like I have no curls and that I expected so much and left disappointed. This is what my hair looked like before the cut:

I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted which was this:

She said her hair is really styled and it would be hard to reestablish the look blah blah. I told her I wanted layers so she gave my constructive layers I wanted shoulder length cut which she gave me but also had pieces that were longer in than that. This is what I left looking like

I had way to much gel and shine serum in my hair. I went home and washed it out and had matted hair I had to detangle. After I somewhat styled it, it looks like this

What do you guys think? I'm just so disappointed I felt the money was wasted. How long do you think I should go before I try to get another cut by another stylist? I feel like cutting it all off although I know I never could.

It doesn't look bad but she cut the layers too long. I think some shorter layers throughout your head will give your curls lift and separation. Give yourself two weeks to adjust. Your hair may just be in shock and will bounce back before you know it.

Your hair looks way better after YOU styled it. One thing is for sure, you are a way better stylist than whomever did your hair. Never go back to them. Trust your own hands. Your hair looks great to me.

Thanks you guys. I defintely won't be going back. I'll give my hair some time to readjust and maybe get another cut in two months just some shorter layers.
