Which technique would give me better clumping?

I'm a posting newbie, but have been lurking for a while. I've been using the "Icequeen" method with good results, but I always like to see if something works even better.

I've been reading about Denman brushes for product distribution, and detangling combs. I have a regualr wide tooth one but even that can be tough to get through my hair at times. Fingers work best for me, and I can get clumps that way, but I also get those extra hairs that frizz out a bit, and I feel that if I had better product distribution to cover them with leave in conditioner and gel, that might be less of an issue. Or maybe not, who knows!

FWIW, my hair type is 2a/3b, medium to fine texture but lots of it. I know it's probably best to just try and experiment, but what do you think would work best? What works best for you and what is your hair type?

Thanks! I did searches on this, but I still would like an overall consensus as to what works for many here, and what would work for my hairtype.
I use a special detangling comb that I reviewed in my blog and it has made a huge difference. I also comb upside down during Icequeen because of those extra hairs and sometimes comb in my leave-in for better distribution. Maybe this link could help.
Who else loves the IceQueen Method?!!?
Lately I have been doing an agave rinse at the end of icequeen method with great clumping results. I mix 2tbls agave nectar with 2 cups water and pour it over my hair and scrunch lightly before my leave-in.

Scrunching works best for me. Any type of raking, whether it be with fingers or a comb, pulls out curl.

Thanks. Jess, which detangling comb do you use? I tried to find it in your blog but couldn't find it.
Nevermind, I just found it. I didn't see the search option at the top. Oops.

Your blog is so fun to read!
