Default How long will a container of Kinky Curly Curling Custard last?

I have chin length 3a hair. I almost bought some KCCC at Whole Foods today, but it was $26...yikes! I have been using Giovanni gel, which I like. But, I've heard such great things about KCCC! How much do you have to use? It was a big container...I'm thinking it might be equivalent to using Giovanni. Any help here?

The container lasts a pretty long time. I have hair that is mid back when wet and a lot of it, and a container lasts me probably two months. I wash every other or every third day I'd say, and I use KCCC with every wetting of my hair.

And I'm not exactly stingy. Although too much is definitely too much.

I heard of people keeping their bottle for months and months.

Unless there's a return policy you might want to see if you can get a sample from the swap boards. The stuff didn't work for me at all. My hair hates aloe and I didn't realize it was in it until I tried it and it didn't work.

It's pretty different from a gel although I haven't used the Giovanni one specifically.

I have similar hair to yours, and I'm about half way through my container & I think I've had it a month. But I think that some of the girls have gotten similar results by using KY something or other. Maybe one of them will chime in.
ETA: I just did a search & it seems that KY is actually comparable to CK...I got confused.

I have VERY thick 3a hair that needs containing; my hair hated it. But if yer hair loves it, one tub should last .... til Social Security sets in?

My hair sounds similar to yours - chin-length, 3a'ish. I wet my hair down every day and use KCCC every time I style. I'm pretty generous with how much I use, and I tub lasts me about 4 months.

I had a hard time buying the first tub, but I've never looked back. It is my HG and the product I couldn't give up. Hope it works as well for you!

My hair is about the same length as yours, but more on the 3b side. My tub of KCCC lasted from mid November to mid March, and I used it every day with some BRHG on top, which also lasted a surprisingly long time considering how small the bottle was. I think it was a good purchase overall!

Youve gotten a lot of good results. I have BSL hair when wet and I use my KCCC everyday, and my container will last me about 2 months.

I bet I have had mine a year. But I rotate products so much I do not use it all the time. I also have fine/thin hair so I do not need much. I am down the bottom of the tub-I can see the end!

I think Kathymack would probably have a sample she could send you, try contacting her.

I got my first tub sometime in February, I think. I use it every day, my hair is a chin-level bob, and I have about 3/4 of a jar left. But I don't use it alone as a gel, either. I do little dollops of it mixed with ArcAngell all over my head.

Also, another thing to account for with me is that you can't go by just looking at my jar itself - one of the first things I did was scooped up a generous amount of it into a little plastic travel sized jar for the weekends when I'm out at my boyfriend's place.

Me too! I'm not quite done with my old tub but I already purchased another since my local Whole Foods is now selling the Kinky-Curly products.

Will all Whole Foods will carry this brand?

I don't know when I'll be able to get down to Salt Lake City again to check if one of the three has it, even though I just bought a tub before my accidental short cut.

So now, a tub is going to last me forever & I already have a full of products!

They have a listing of all the retail locations on their website. I think it's www.kinky-curly.com.

That way you can have instant gratification!!!!!!!!!

That sucks. I live less than 15 miles (probably 10 to 15 minutes) from their distributing location but the closest place to buy a tub is more than 30 miles away. And on the OTHER side of LA... So like an hour and a half of drive time. And since the difference is do crazy... I guess I have to keep buying it online.

Sorry! End guano!

I don't use much at a time, and I only wash every 2-4 days, so I'm guessing a jar will last me at least a year. Ordered 2 jars originally, so I'm set for a long time to come, LOL!

I got a tub on the swap board around Sept and it spoiled last month. Now my fresh tub is staying in the Fridge! I don't think it lasts longer then a year.....

I have a similar problem! I live like 5 minutes from a whole foods... but they don't have it! I looked at driving into LA, but as you know.. traffic is awful... I decided to order it online when curlmart was offering 20% off, which basically covered the shipping in this case. Then I didn't waste any gas or time. I can't wait to try it today!
