Has starting to love your hair kind of changed your life?

Haha I know, dramatic :P

What I mean is that at the beginning of march I became a CurlyGirl. From there I went from frustration to love with my hair. It had such a big impact that I've kind of been reforming my whole body to go along with the inner self-confidence I've gained. I started the Joy LIFE Diet a couple of weeks ago, lost weight, and am feeling like a totally different person. Not only am I healthy and happy, but I feel great from the bottom of my shoes to the top of my head. I love what a difference has been made!

Has anyone else had an experience like this?
Hair Type: 3a/3b and LOTS of it! Hair color ranges from dark brown to light brown with blonde and red highlights thrown in from the sun. haha I've never had two people call it the same color :P

Started CG 3/1/09 and I am loving it! I can't wait to see the results after a couple of months. I've become a curly girl fanatic
Unfortunately, I didnt discover CG til I was 45 - I already loved myself at that point

But its certainly changed the way I feel about my hair! Its gone from love/hate to love/love!

I've been doing CG since I was pretty young -- about 14 or 15 and I'm 21 now. I think for me it represents a shift in how to think about beauty. Instead of looking at what needs to be fixed or corrected in yourself, you instead look at what you need to do to make yourself more healthy and well taken care of, which will enhance what you have naturally, and then just trust that beauty will follow from that.

Or maybe that's just reading too much into it!
I really don't know. As much as I try to love my hair, it doesn't always work, and in fact, most days I still hate my hair. And, the one day I liked the way my hair looked, it didn't magically change my life. My hair looked good, but I wasn't any happier, the guy I wanted didn't notice me any more than before, and all in all, life pretty much stayed the same. And, the good parts of my life stayed the same, as well. Maybe when I truly love my hair, I will experience this same sort of magic.

I'm always happy for those whose hair transformation changed them in such a positive way, as it did for you, curlyhairdreamer. I only hope that one day I can get to the point you have. I hope that your confidence stays with you and only continues to make you happier.

Yes! for me it has! I feel sexier, much more so than when I was perming. Probably because I'm doing good things to my hair and that feeling rolls over into other aspects of my life. I have taken up (again) bellydancing, and it has been so much fun, and good for me too. I feel sexy doing that too...LOL Since I have much more inner confidence, it shows on the outside as well. I started wearing a teency bit of eyeshadow and liner, just to make my eyes stand out a little more. I'm more conscious of my eating habits and what and when I eat and how much. I just feel beautiful all over. I'll be 41 this May, and I have to tell you that me being natural, and this life I have at this age, has me feeling more attractive confident and beautiful than I ever have in my entire life, even when I was much younger and thinner. I'm doing good things for myself and it feels good to me. Right now!

Personally I was looking forward to length along with my curls, and now that I have a length I like I am REALLY enjoying them...just need to focus on getting them healthier since I've devoted more time to straightened/artificially waved hair.

Haven't done anything else because of my hair, but I do feel more myself, more comfortable in my own skin.

Thanks! My friend drew it and she doesn't know I'm using it! Shh!

She's a straightie, though, so I don't think I need to worry about her finding me out.
Wow, she's really gifted! I won't say anything
