Question Scrunching short hair? (need help)

Its really difficult scrunching because my hair is short and I cant do plopping yet either. So I was wondering is there a way I can scrunch my hair and get great clumps without crunch? Bleh I hate that crunchy crispy feeling! My CK came and it works great, so learning to scrunch would make it look even better!

When my hair is short I have bigger looser curls but I still get in there and scrunch. I am talking hair that is above collar length. You just have to be very easy when doing it. Just try it and see what happens.
