KCCC In high Dew Points

As we get into the warmer months, has anyone had any luck with using this stuff? It worked great in the cooler months, but no matter how I tweak it, its not the same.

I used it all last summer with no issues. I use a lighter leave in for the summer--KBB nectar, GDLI and this summer I might try DM LI/Detangler and AfroDetangler (if my order ever comes, LOL!)

It's good to check out the stickies at the top of all the forums. There's a lot of useful information.

Same here - I had no problems with it last summer. When the dewpoints got really high, I had to use a little BRHG over it, which I do anyway from time to time, so really no different.

Thanks for the info. Maybe i'm using too much conditioner... or maybe i dont need any at all. I'll work with it some more.

I'm still not having good luck with the higher dew points. Whats the trick? I had great luck with in low points but can not find the right combination now that the dew point is over 60. Iíve tried it w/out leave in, with small amounts of leave in, with Boots curl Cream, without Curl Cream, applying it to soaked hair and then the opposite and its just not working for me.

Mine looks dirty by the end of the first day if I use curl cream, especially Boot's, with it now. And I don't use very much KCCC either. I never use nearly as much as in the Mysterflavored video, e.g., anyway and even less when it's warm. I do have to top it with BRHG or LALSG if I expect any hold. If I use leave-in at all, it's just a touch of GDLI or KBB milk or nectar. Often, I don't use anything except my usual FOTE AVG under it, just depending on how it feels right out of the shower.

So far I have been getting awesome results even with the dewpoint and weather change. The only thing I can think of that I'm doing different is using a lighter leave-in conditioner. I've been using one from Hoity Toity (don't know if she is selling it yet, I have a sample). This leave in works awesome, conditiones well without heaviness. I then use my Donna Marie CCB (maybe a couple of dips with my finger in the tub), then scrunch in some KCCC, and then I scrunch in either BRHG (nickel size blob) or Hoity Toity ultra hold flax gel. I think I'm liking the later better though. HTH.

Today I used some Biolage Conditioning Balm underneath KCCC, the dew point is 51, and my hair is quite happy. Soft and bouncy curls.

Unfortunately, or fortunately if you are a PJ, experimenting is the name of the game. Good luck!
If I remember correctly, last summer when the dewpoints were super high, I used KCCC without leave-in and a little BRHG and it worked great.

I didnt think the leave in i was using was super heavy, KBB Super Silky, but maybe it's too heavy for higher dew points.

I'm using leave-in a lot more this year than ever before so who knows whether it will work for me at all this summer. I know I definitely wouldn't use a curl cream with it then.

I've used KCCC since last June without problems. When the humidity/dew points get high, I get some frizz, but it's usually bearable. I use a pencil-eraser sized dab of BRHG every day for hold.

My hair is thin/fine and gets weighed down easily. I use Jane Carter's Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner (a lightweight spray) on the days I need a leave-in.

bumping an old thread to see....

still using KCCC in high dews? Dew is 69 right now. I am looking for products to use to alternate days as I see my hair looks better not using the same thing every day.... Overall, I have minimum frizz but sometimes find it around the halo (wondering if it's the polyquats)....

so how is KCCC in higher dews??
in humidity hell south Florida or high and dry Colorado

It works just as well in moderate and high dews for me. I didn't notice a difference in but I'm in high dews 90% of the time! I have to add hard hold gel on top no matter what.
