You're just noticing NOW that I LOVEY the Coconut????? HEEE HEE!! I think my favorite way to use coconut is in Oil form. I've used the Milk too but have over-done a few times whereas the Oil I can't seem to Over Do! Sometimes I take a pea size and smooth it on 2nd day, or I'll do an overnight DT put a blob in my hand melt it put it all through and co-wash or low poo next morning/afternoon. I just sleep in a pineapple when I do that.

If you go to a person's profile you can find the threads and posts made by that person

Please do report back on your Honey findings in low dews and warm temps. Definitely try some FSG with Honey it could make all the difference in how much you like it. I personally feel it's better suited for finer haired curiles but I only have myself and daughter to compare. Works FABU on her but kinda MEH for me.

Hey Del, remember when you said your hair went straight and you werent sure why? well, when i tried the Re:Coil yesterday, i put AVG under it and I think that's why the re:coil didn't give me results. Today as i touch the inside of my hair, it felt almost producty, and i'm sure i didnt use too much re:coil... maybe the counter-reacted in my hair? if that makes sense?

ALso, i have really coarse hair and honey seems to do something for my curls... i dunno what exactly, but i think it does do something... the 2nd time i used the honey when i complained about no clumping, i still had curlier hair. even my cousin was like, what did you do to your hair! it actually looks curlier! So i am going to continue using the honey!

Do you mean you put Fote or Agave under Recoil? What kind of dews are you living with again? My hair is super coarse too and the Honey smooths it and makes it softer but I'm still afraid to try it again in these ridiculous low dews around New England...

Well i put FOTE AVG and the curls werent really there (under the re:coil). but i know you werent sure if it was the agave or the FOTE AVG. My ends turned straight when i used the FOTE with Re:coil so i was thinking maybe the FOTE did the same to you with the KCCC? I know nothing about dew... but down south in HOTlanta, we've been having high 60 and low 70s. I miss NY

OH that's right! I forgot about that..Well I'm really thinking it was the Agave because I've used FOTE on dry hair before and this didn't happen. I also used FOTE in my routine yesterday and only spritzed today and my hair didn't do that. Agave won't have the kind of hold Honey does the consistency is different. I still think Honey is my first true love.....What I was hoping is that Agave would work in lower dews, I've gotta just stop being a chicken and try it what's the worst that can happen? I wash next day...big deal...

I have a question for you girls. Do you tend to have have thick coarse hair? I've been considering honey but have been afraid because i really wasn't sure how to. Thanks for posting your results and techniques I think I'm gonna try it. :-)

I'd say that half of my hair is coarse and half of it is fine. And I got a ton of hair. All of my hair works with honey. I hope you try it and let us know your method and results!

I've seen a variety of different heads benefiting from Honey. It seems to work for all kinds of textures! Lovely stuff Same with coconut oil it's so light and agrees with many of us unlike Jojoba that can be iffy sometimes.

Default I think I like it

Today I took 8 oz of warm water and ended up with 2 tsp. of honey. I put it in a spray bottle and misted my hair with it when it was dry. It seemed to lessen the frizz and my curls coiled up a little tighter. I think I might take it up to 1tbs to see what happens and put it on my wet hair after my leave in.

Thanks again ladies!

I thought I was going to have some sort of great breakthrough yesterday with dwepoints and high temps, but the dewpoint stuck all day at 35. So my hair was great! I love it! Tomorrow I will be changing it up a little bit, but I will continue to test out honey it different forms. Maybe tomorrow i will go with honey alone (not mixed with anything else... i still need my products!)... see how that goes.

Well. Its official. I'm in love.

Dumb question:

Ok so I get that you use one pea size drop in your rinse out and another pea sized drop in your leave in. I know that dews must be fairly high. I get all these more complicated things

The dumb question is: What KIND of honey are you using?? Are you using the kind that comes in the jar shaped like a bear? Clover honey? Raw honey? Blended honey? Etc etc?

I use the bear stuff. The raw honey I have has bits in it and is way to thick to use in my hair. Works great on my face though

I was thinking raw honey might be a bit icky. But then I thought "well some people put lube in their hair...maybe chunky honey isn't that odd" haha

I use the cheapest honey I could buy. Its clover honey and I figure if I can eat it with no problem, its ok that I have the cheapest honey.

Girls I use whatever kinda Honey I have around, last one I bought was from TJ's and it was Desert something ....doesn't matter Honey is Honey

burgundy just don't leave the Honey Bear in the bathroom or it will attract bugs. I mix up my concoctions in the Kitchen and bring them with me on wash days. You'll get used to it....

Odd. I leave my bottle of honey under the sink. I pour my honey and try to keep it neat. Even after an ant attack on my hair supplies and general under the soml area (they went straight for my avocado oil... strange), my honey has never seen an intruding ant.

I've probably just jinxed myself. No fun.
