Here's my hair. Any advice? (pic)
Ok. So, I'm not doing the no-poo thing, and this is just my hair on a normal day of step-out-of-the-shower and apply FX Molding Wax by scrunching. I think it works pretty well. I let it dry into this.
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...100_2536-2.jpg here's the back. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...100_2519-1.jpg Basically, messy waves and curls...But I dont know my curl type for sure since I think its different in the front than the back, and I also need advice on where to go from here. Anyone have any opinions? I'm open to suggestions :) |
Wow! I think it's really pretty if that helps. I'm guessing that's your natural color? It's fab. I don't have very similar hair, so I wont really suggest anything, but I would say you're a 2 something! :) Oh and don't stress too much about curl type--sometimes it's more about thickness, elasticity, porousness, etc. etc. than hair type. My philosophy is if it ain't broke don't fix it! (That's how we talk here in kentuck.) But if you are unhappy with your hair I'm sure other people will have suggestions.
P.S. How long have you been doing the no-poo thing? Just so you know, it can take some time to work, and then past that to get to the best state. For some people I think it has taken like 2 months, just because of damage and stuff. |

I'm actually NOT doing a no-poo thing. I dont know if everyone on here is? Maybe I am a silly newbie lol. Maybe I need to...I honestly dont know much about it. I need to read more. I figured I'd get some advice before asking any more silly questions. |

I'm new too. As to asking silly questions, I say ask away, it takes the focus off my silly questions! |
If you're interested in finding out information and thinking about a CG/mod CG routine, you need to read. A good place to start is with Laura Lee's:
http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlta...ad.php?t=64135 At the top of each forum are important stickies--like the acronyms at the top of this one. Those are also some "required" reading so you understand what everyone is saying. |
if you do decide to do the curly girl routine (no poo, low poo - no sulfates and no cones) you might find out that your hair is curlier. that happens often as curly hair is dry, and the more moisture it has, the curlier it gets. but as others have said, it does take a little time, depending on the condition of your hair.
it is important to read more before you start. ie, you need to wash with your regular sulfate shampoo to get rid of the cones from your conditioners, then go on to sulfate-free, cone-free shampoos and conditioners. you can do a 'curly girl' search on this site to find some info if you are interested. |
