Default Odd product request: I want a really heavy leave in...

My hair is 3b curls, very fine and dry. Nothing has weighed my hair down short of EVOO on dry hair. I want a heavy, moisturizing leave in conditioner that will kind of weigh my curls down and maybe stretch them out some too but won't look greasy when it's dry. My hair is very fine, I guess, and it's just all over the place. I don't have "fly aways" as all my hair is fly away! Plus, my curls are just too tight for my liking. I'm thinking of going modified CG as my hair seems to love the cones. I'm looking for something from a drugstore or sallys. Really anything that is inexpensive. Right now I'm using the GVP conditioning balm as a leave in and it's not heavy enough, if that gives you any ideas. TIA!!!

Try the wild woozle pomade. I use it on days when I need to slick my hair down some and it smells soooo good!

I liked wild woozle too! I just felt that i was using too much and its such a petite container.

So your looking for thicker than GVP? Have you tried to add some EVOO to the GVP? That might help. Before CG, I was strictly Paul Mitchell The Conditioner (the blue creamed one, the LI) with a good splash of EVOO with every palmful. It was the only thing that I could do to give my hair some weight. The Conditioner really weighted me down. And if you are looking for other products, try Enjoy. They have a texture cream and a mega hold gel that you can mix together to work the hold and curl to your liking. If you go to my FOTKI, most of the pre-CG pictures are PMTC and Enjoy products (except the frizzy day.... god knows what I was using that day).

Mix of 3s, thick, coarse, medium porosity

Current hair styling technique: rake with a scrunch at the end. (works with my coarse hair)

pw: curls

Known HGs: KCCC, homemade fsg, honey

i just bought both GVP Conditioning Balm and AOHR. AOHR is thicker than GVP, but GVP is still thick and nice. KCCC (as a styler) tends to elongate curls too.

SheaMoisture Leave-In is a heavy, rich leave-in for me. I can't even use it as a leave-in unless I low-poo every day. Lots here love it, though.

Before you order it, know that its cocoa-buttery smell lingers from one washing to the next - not bad, but it is always there, at least on me.

Or may one of the Lustrasilk conditioners from Sally's . . . .
2C/3A/3B - mod. CG, med. to fine, normal to low porosity/normal elasticity

Current Main Rotation: MG217 medicated, GTTT or Aim2Health 'poos as scalp needs, YTCarrots or Elucence cond., Spiral Solutions Protein Trtmt & Deeply Decadent Cond., CJCCCC reg or lite, KCCC, AO Mandarin Magic, Giovanni LA Hold Hair Spritz + lots more, sporadically

HG Method: Super Soaker + Smasters-ing, brief upside down diffusing then clips or clamps & air dry. Blend gray w/henna glosses

Most of the CJ conditioners/treatments, Donna Marie L and T or CHB, lots of the Komaza Califia products--leave in, moisture cream or moisture spray.

You might like Curls' Whipped Cream for styling; I just tried it for the first time yesterday...my curls were not quite as tight as usual, lengthened out a bit.
Wash: CJ Daily Fix, KM shampoo bars, Giovanni 50:50 Clarifying
Co-wash/Condish: Curls Coconut Sublime Moisturizing Conditioner
LI & Styling: KBB milk, CJ Beauticurls LI, CJ Coffee-Coco Curl Lite cream, CJ CIAB
DT: CJ Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix, Shea Butter

The generic Nexxus Humectress that Sally's Beauty Supply sells adds some weight to my hair and tames it on especially unruly days. However, I prefer the generic Paul Mitchell -- The Conditioner. Great stuff!

Oh, what about pure Shea Nut Butter?

ABBA Nourishing is actually a light/thin leave-in.
