Default How difficult is it to remove hydrogenated castor oil?

I'm cleaning out my product stash and am deciding whether or not to get rid of gels that contain hydrogenated castor oil.

Can it be removed with a low poo? Anything "bad" this product does to hair? Thank you!

Co-washing doesn't remove it all for me, but I have no problem with a low-poo containing coco betaine - no sulfates necessary.

I was able to remove it with loopoo. It took my hair about ten days to recover from the "incident." It doesn't like castor oil. I can use it if it has a PEG in front.

You may not need any recovery time, though - only if your hair also dislikes it. I'm OK with it occasionally as long as I don't use it too often and thoroughly wash it all out.
