East Coast Curlies.....UPDATED w pic

Okay, so I took Dels advice and tried my CK.... It didnt hold up, but I truly think that was weather related (not humid enough yet).

Next time I CO washed instead of my CV bar (first co since Oct). I forgot the joys of Co washing! Even the scent of my VO5 Vanilla Mint was missed! I then used my usual Tigi MM rinse out and the HESMU (no CK)

Anyway, it does seem to have made a difference - my hair isnt swelled up, or bushy/fuzzy. Have to see how it wears over the day, but apparently, for me, maybe adding back the co wash will hold me over til summer.

I intend to form a new summer routine this year. However, I am not using my heavy winter condish right now for the past 2 days. I purchased something new and boy does my hair look incredibly soft and frizz free. I will be trying CK for the first time in a month or so.

rudee what's your update? Also, are you still using your DW? I've been using it with the Dr.Bronners Shik.Rinse and it's worked well for me in the dead of Winter but also this Spring. I plan to keep using it right through Summer! This stuff definitely gets mixed reviews but you're a lot like me in the moisture dept this time of year and I really think you would like it. I started a thread on the Product Reviews if you haven't seen it, check it out.

I've still been using the same routine, but I stopped using as much CK (not sure if that makes sense, the fact that i was using it in the winter, not the summer?.. oh well, its almost gone) and got a better conditioner and my hair has been looking great! I'm not sure if its from CG just really starting to work its magic or what but I'm loving it:] I hope it lasts and isnt just a two day tease or something.

We FINALLY had some dewpoints in the 40s...boy was my hair happy! I had straightened it on Friday so it was so nice to go back to curly yesterday and the dewpoints made it even nicer!!! I am glad your hair is better too Rudee!!!

Temps high 70's dews low 40's humidity 28%. I used 3 puddles of CK, 1/2 t to 1C water Honey rinse, put a drop of Honey in my condish. Hair is very Happy! Still drying but it looks promising!

I'm in Virginia and the weather has been kinda nuts for April. Today it's 91 degrees, 23 % humidity and a dew point of 50. I thought the dew point would be high enough to counteract the humidity so I loaded up on the glycerin. As the day goes on, my hair is poofing up, the curl is falling out, and it's feeling kind of dry.

This is all just so confusing. I just don't know what my hair is trying to tell me. I need a serious DT this evening.

Oh, and a hair whisperer!
