Hi - I'm wondering if anyone has used Kinky Curly Curling Custard and Flax Seed Gel together?

If yes - what was your method and what did you think of the results?

I love the FSG and am curious if I should try both FSG and KCCC simulatenously?

I was curious to know if both of these mixed as well and i was told that the crunch was almost impossible to scrunch out!!!

I read the thread you are talking about, and I believe the person hadn't actually tried it they just assumed that is what would happen.
I am trying it right now, but I won't know until tomorrow when I SOTC what it will be like. In the meantime, has anyone actually tried it? What were your results?

I have tried BB's Gelee with KCCC on top. I did not have to SOTC. I don't need a leave in with this combo. I had better staying power with this combo then with KCCC and BRHG. Without the Gelee I was never "blown away with KCCC. I get good definition but my curls never tightened to the extreme some posters mentioned..probably because my hair is mid back length and in desperate need of layers.

This morning I used Gelee, then KCCC mixed with Brulee and found application to be even easier. Usually I have to be paranoid about over doing KCCC and resort to a Denman brush.

BB made my batch of Gelee with Honey, Coconut oil, Avacado oil and Vanilla Scent added to her base Flax seed gel.
Her stuff is awesome and I am reordering this weekend! I can't run out

I used homemade FSG and KCCC together several times.

I found FSG did not have enough hold for me, and since I definitely need some hold along with the KCCC, which has none, this wasn't a good combo for me. By the end of the day, my hair was poufing out.

Supposedly I could have added stuff to the FSG to give more hold. But I was skeptical I could get enough hold, since I'm looking for a very hard hold most of the time.

It was just much easier to buy a bottle of BRHG and be done with it.

I used my homemade FSG with a little KCCC today. Made sure it was really dry before I SOTC. I have beautiful, soft tight curls with lots of volume five hours later. I will have to remember to do this one again.

I know, huh? I'm using them right now and lovin' life.

My hair needs someone to tell it to behave. Since it won't listen to me, I rely on BRHG to get the message through.

[Shhh, don't tell my hair about all this, or it'll start acting up again. ]

I use Jessicurl's Rockin Ringlets under KCCC. I get some crunch, but no more than if I use either product alone. I may experiment with using the gel over KCCC to see how that works.

I used to use FSG+KCCC all the time with a light leave-in condish underneath, and really liked the results. Not uncrunchable, left me with shiny loopy ringlets that were really soft and didn't feel product-y at all. Now I do the same thing but with CJ Aloe Fix Gel instead of the KCCC and love the results even more!
