Sorry if this has been brought up before.
So reading threads yesterday I seen ck (curl keeper
) talked about and being compared to ky. I started a little research and found a personal lubricant at a local health food store and checked out the ingredients (its like 10.00 for 2 oz. btw).
Deionized water, sorbitol, glycerine, tocopheryl acetate, xylitol, cinnamon oil, allantoin, isopropyl myristate, sucrose laurate, hydroxypropyl methycellulose, carbomer, potassium sorbate, vanillin, polysorbate 20, methylparaben, triethanolamine.
At the top of the list is glycerine. I'm not sure about the other items because I'm not a chemist, but what I'm thinking is would just buying the glycerine and mixing it with water do the same thing? Or are the other ingredients imperitive to getting the same results as the kc/ky?
I've done a search for glycerine on the boards, and seen uses for it but I didn't come across anything comparing it to the lube or the kc, so no I'm intrigued.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
